Tac-tics Posted 4 March, 2009 Share Posted 4 March, 2009 I get my xbox back today and I want to play it through my laptop. My laptop has HDMI outlet as well as a mini scart for tv/sat. Would I be able to pop in a philips HDMI cable from my 360 straight to my laptop and play?
Baj Posted 4 March, 2009 Share Posted 4 March, 2009 no, that'll be tv out, not in. You would need a USB TV Capture device that supports svideo, and an svideo cable for your 360. Equally, since Svideo doesnt carry sound, you would need to buy a phono to jack converter to plug it in to your laptop mic socket, and then configure your operating system to output the signal from mic in to the inbuilt speakers. http://www.kikatek.com/product_info.php?products_id=1126 It's entirely possible, and I've done it on a PS2, but its a lot of ****ing hassle.
