Glasgow_Saint Posted 20 August, 2008 Share Posted 20 August, 2008 Anyone had one before? What are they like? Im taking a look at this one (link below) at the weekend, thinking of buying - price seems about right, however heard a few things about the cost of maintaining and heard that they break down a fair bit!? http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/BMW+Z4/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146,N-192-240-4294965351-4294967202/advert.action?R=200833316651292&distance=106&postcode=bh49en&channel=CARS&make=BMW&model=Z4&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=

I Brought a nice coupe soft top. It didnt last a year. Now Im having a "god im nearly 40 crisis!" But getting back to the Z4, my mate had one and loved it. Yes the BMW service is expensive but he used the BWM garage in Bartley. Not a dealer but they are all ex BMW service engineers

Saint Paul C Posted 28 August, 2008 Share Posted 28 August, 2008 One of these has got to be a better buy than a Z4... http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/images.action?R=200814307158408&channel=CARS&adcategory=&largeId=753050316 You can get a decent one for about 15k

Bought it a year ago and absolutely love it. Great fun to drive, very fast and still fairly rare on the roads. I have a 2003, dark blue, 13,000 miles and got it for £10k. Absolute bargain. Serviced it last week and only cost £156. Couldn't recommend it more.

Vs admittadley the BMW does look better, but it is no where near as good a car as the S2000. If you want to buy a car to pose with, get the beemer, if you want one to drive with a smile on your face, get the S2000
