brightspark Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 (edited) 2 wins in a row is bound to bring optimism and scores once again skewed towards Saints' favour... but what if we think with our head? When has Saints last won a match away from home on a Tuesday Night? Saints haven't managed to go 3 in a row for nearly 2 seasons now also. We all know that if Ipswich play well they should have enough in them to beat us... but what if we play well? I'm going for a high scoring 2-2 draw. And to be honest, if most results went our way elsewhere, i'd be pleased with that. Anyone also willing to predict a floodlight failure? Edited 2 March, 2009 by brightspark
70's Mike Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 Depends on how positive Wotte is, attack Ipswich then 1-2 Saints but if we sit back and just retain the ball without getting at them then 2-0 ipswich
slickmick Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 Can't see us winning three in a row. Ipswich 2 nil winners.
egreog Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 Ipswich 0-1 Saints..........might be a blatant case of over enthusiasm above reality, but hey, maybe the spirit is strong enough to do it!
thorpie the sinner Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 Its reverse psychology all the way for me now!! Ipswich 3-1 COYR!!!!!!!
Stax Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 1-1 Ipswich only won once out of the last 3 at Portman road.
buctootim Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 We'll be lucky to get 2 points out of Ipswich and B'ham - but will continue to play well and stay up.
Griffo Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 I'd go for 2-1 to Ipswich. and who have the other teams around us got tomorrow?
Nexstar Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 2-1 ipswich but another good performance. Blackpool v Burnley, 19:45 Cardiff v Barnsley, 19:45 Charlton v Doncaster, 19:45 Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton, 20:00 Derby v Swansea, 19:45 Ipswich v Southampton, 19:45 Nottm Forest v Preston, 19:45 Plymouth v Watford, 19:45 QPR v Norwich, 20:00 Sheff Wed v Reading, 19:45 Plymouth v Watford seems to be the only real big game down there.
Griffo Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 The Charlton Donny one I expect we'd want a draw from.. Possibly Watford to win against Plymouth.. Blackpool and Forest probably expect to win, and Barnsley will probably lose. ..How far are Barnsley away from us now?

I am How many have we sold/expected to take roughly?
explorer saint Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 Ipswich 2 Saints 1 after we are 1 up at half time.
insideout Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 I'll go for 1-1, although very much hope saints can pull something out of the bag. Also does anyone know if you can buy tickets for the away end at the ground?? Really fancy going but cant collect tickets from sms... cheers.
SNSUN Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 If we really have turned a corner, I'd expect a draw from this game. A win may be too beyond us, Ipswich aren't exaxctly a bad team, but a draw I'd be happy with. 1-1
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 A dissapointing narrow defeat and we're straight back in the shyte. : 2-1 Ipswich
um pahars Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 I'd like to think we could get a draw, so I'm plumping for 1-1 The only problem with tomorrow is the three teams above us are at home, Forest v Preston Blackpool v Burnley Plymouth v Watford A few draws wouldn't go amiss there either. Saturday's fixtures are somewhat iffy as well with us at Brum and Blackpool v Norwich Forest v Swansea Plymouth v Reading If we can stay in touch even after these two away games, then we could be alright.
bigchrisy Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 1-1 for me, to be fair though im hoping for at least 4 points from the next two games
saints-cris Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 I think a disappointing 2-0 loss. Back to reality. Still, 6 points out of 9 against 3 high flying (ish) teams won't be bad going.
saintwarwick Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 0-0 That's a climbdown from your previous prediction of a loss
Mole Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 That's a climbdown from your previous prediction of a loss  Well if i was to be putting money on it i'd go home win, but i think we could nick a draw.
Mr X Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 I will be more than amazed if we can win three in a row! can anyone even remember the last time we did that? I really would start believing in a miracle escape! Heart = 3 - 2 saints Head = 3 - 0 ipswich

buctootim Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 On current form (last six matches) we are well ahead of Reading, Brum and Wolves but behind Charlton. Strange league this one. http://www.4thegame.com/statistics/championship/tables/currentform.html
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 3 March, 2009 Posted 3 March, 2009 I'll go for 1-1, although very much hope saints can pull something out of the bag. Also does anyone know if you can buy tickets for the away end at the ground?? Really fancy going but cant collect tickets from sms... cheers. Yeah you can buy tickets on the night, it'll just cost you an extra £2.50. So that's £30.50 for an adult ticket
LostBoys Posted 3 March, 2009 Posted 3 March, 2009 While I would like all three and we need them, I would settle for a point
Greedyfly Posted 3 March, 2009 Posted 3 March, 2009 I had no idea how awful are fixture list was this month...If I had seen that two weeks ago when one of the many 'will we stay up/go down' threads were started I would have said no chance. Still I said yes and sticking with yes BUT I think we will need three points again here. Ipswich 1 - 2 Saints. Simply has to be a win.
St.Thomas7 Posted 3 March, 2009 Posted 3 March, 2009 At best (and I'd be very happy with) a 0-0 draw, or 1-0 or 2-0 Ipswich... Although we really are looking better, and I am refering to us as a "we" again, I'm still finding it a little hard to beleive in the team... Please make me eat my words yet again lads... COYR
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 3 March, 2009 Posted 3 March, 2009 To those of you who are coming up to Suffolk for tonight match...it has just started ******ING it down here so bring your waterproofs.
The Majestic Channon Posted 3 March, 2009 Posted 3 March, 2009 3-2 to ipswich ( euell 2) skacel sent off in 63rd minute.
