It certainly looked like a very good shout, the only saving grace could be said that it was ball to hand as it sort of just dropped on his arm (or at least it looked like that from my view).

 

But then again, as others have mentioned on the post match thread it looked as though we had a very good shout when someone got up ended on the edge of the box in the second half.

Perry did not do it on purpose in my opinion and his arm wasn't being raised. Sometimes official does not give penalty in that scenario. Similar things happened in Euro 2008, when Stoor handled the ball when Sweden met Spain. But our penalty is different that player was raising both of his arms to block Euell's cross. I think when you use hand to block any shots or crosses inside the box then you deserved the punishment which is a penalty, otherwise not necessary a penalty

IMO, he raised his arm to shield the play from the attacker on his blind side, and lost the flight of the ball, which had looped up and then came down on his outstretched arm........amazing that we can all see different things.

Can see why it wasn't given (arguably ball to hand), but also wouldn't have been too upset if it had.

Still a deserved victory - perhaps our fortunes have changed earlier this season this would have been two points lost.

This one I had a clear view as it was directly in front of me and was a penalty. He was definately tripped but it looked like he overreacted when going down and maybe looked like a dive to the ref.

The only thing I'd say about the Perry handball is that he was not looking in the direction the ball came from so therefore it couldn't have been "deliberate" handball. However if he'd been in a Cardiff shirt I would have thought differently! Maybe luck does even itself out - if so, we've got a good few shouts coming our way just when we need them.

I think it was the fact he made it look so theatrical, as to why it wasnt given. The defender clearly took Saga before the ball, but when he decided to throw a couple of double pikes and pieroets (?) into the mix, the ref was never going to give it.

If it had been a Cardiff defender instead of Perry I think there would be plenty of people ranting and raving about not getting a penalty. We see this type of incident result in a pen 9 times out of ten but thank god on this occasion it went our way. Wotte talked alot about luck playing a part when he first took on the job and whilst I'm not a believer in this per se I hope he's right. There were one or two things that went in our favour - good strikes on Kelvin's goal going straight at him for example. Let's hope it continues!

I can only imagine the officials were similarly unsighted as it was a blatant arm back to the keeper - technically a backpass!
