KK the 2nd Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 This one is really too close to call. On betfair the lay price is 2.00 reflecting a true 50:50 chance of staying up:going down. We really need someone else to fall into the mire - possibly Blackpool or Plymouth?
Son of Bob Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 Prior to the last 2 games I would have definately said down. I'm still not 100% sure we have enough to save ourselves but the last 2 games have certainly given me a glimmer of hope at last. Even the faintest glimmer can only be a good thing! We have had many good perfomances this season without the results and maybe the tide is about to turn. We can but hope...

eelpie Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 My answer IS 'yes or know'. There isn't a voting option for both.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 I reckon Palace could get dragged into it. On 44 points from 33 games? Not really very likely, would have to be a massive free-fall not to get another 10 points from their remaining 13 games. Forest Norwich Charlton is how I see it.
saintwarwick Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 The good news is that there are a lot of teams clustered just outside the relegation zone, and 1 of them is bound to go on a horror run through the next few weeks. So, if we pull together a half decent run, we could get above someone and into the 21st haven. On the other hand, we've all seen how poor this team can play and if we lose one, the kick in the nuts could trigger 3 or 4 in a row again... I still think we will go down. A 1-0 win scored by a penalty certainly isn't resounding, and although Cardiff are a good team i'm not getting carried away with that result, or the Preston one. If we want to stay up we need to win most of our remaining home games - period. Oh and funny how the poll title turns to "will we stay up" when all is going well!!! Last month it is "will we go down" - funny how the mind works...!?! I think quite a few on here would of been happy with 1-0 wins earlier in the season, the fact is we were worthy winners in both these games against Cardiff and Preston. I'll take 1-0 wins in all the rest of our games although I don't think my heart will hold out to the seasons end should that be the case. Lets just say we are now capable of winning games and that gives us a fighting chance.

corsacar saint Posted 2 March, 2009 Posted 2 March, 2009 Heart says yes, head says no. I think it will be close, need at least 3 points from next two games. [ which will be extremely difficult].
