Colinjb Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Those are sky blue bibs, surely. And the blue away kit of the early 80's is outstanding.
Legod Third Coming Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Those are sky blue bibs, surely. And the blue away kit of the early 80's is outstanding. Reuben Agboola that kit reminds me off. No idea why him and no one else??
Sold To The Man @ The Bar Posted 27 February, 2009 Author Posted 27 February, 2009 Those are sky blue bibs, surely. And the blue away kit of the early 80's is outstanding. It wasn't implied that they were anything else

Saint_clark Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 The season we were relegated. Enough said. And the season after as well.
Mole Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Not forgetting the turquois blue dimplex away kit.
ItchenRob Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Up until 1938 we had blue shorts in our home kit.
teamsaint Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 never agreed with us playing in Blue shirts. stripes at home. Yellow away. I'd like to see us go back to yellow/black away.
Window Cleaner Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Reuben Agboola that kit reminds me off. No idea why him and no one else?? Always reminds me of Steve Moran slotting in Keegan' through ball at Anfield to send us to the top of the league..
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 (edited) The Draper away kits of the early to mid eighties were the nicest we've had. Go for a fortune on Ebay. I've got one of the Saints Classic ones... Edited 27 February, 2009 by Dibden Purlieu Saint
warsash saint Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Personally, i prefered the yellow flame shirts at the time
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 http://www.matchworn.org/38.html great site, think someone on here runs it
Weston Super Saint Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 http://www.matchworn.org/38.html great site, think someone on here runs it Isn't that site something to do with Woggy?
FloridaMarlin Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 http://www.matchworn.org/38.html great site, think someone on here runs it Hmmm, I'm thinking not too many shirts from the 2004/05 season will be blood or sweat soaked. I bet Jamie Redknapp's still smells of his after shave (probably something classy, like Joop!)

Another PR winner !! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11421&cp=2 the flamed blue kit of which we won at old trafford on pens was class, see you tomorrow me old fruit, by the way you coming to wolves on good friday?

Another PR winner !! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11421&cp=2 WTF?! This is almost as outrageous as the time one of the the spots in the Flybe logo got dangerously close to blue. It still angers me. LOWE OUT!
Arizona Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Sure there was an April fools joke on the OS in 2003 when the club announced our new home kit would be blue and white stripes in tribute to Pompey's imminent promotion. Was before I joined Saintsforever, but I'd bet it rattled a few cages.

paulwantsapint Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 Not sure some of current squad have earnt the right or honour of wearing red & white blue is a losers colour red is a winners colour
aintforever Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 The blue away kit from the 80s with the bits on the shoulders was superb.
SNSUN Posted 27 February, 2009 Posted 27 February, 2009 (edited) My favourite ever kit was blue. Away kit circa 82/83 I think... My favourite kit was also blue, think it was the 3rd kit in around '98. Edited 27 February, 2009 by SNSUN

bigtonesfc Posted 28 February, 2009 Posted 28 February, 2009 Always reminds me of Steve Moran slotting in Keegan' through ball at Anfield to send us to the top of the league.. I was there, freezing me balls off for 80 odd minutes then happy days!!
um pahars Posted 28 February, 2009 Posted 28 February, 2009 When have SFC worn bule, that is for the fish f**kers down the road. When we went blue in 1980 I don't remember much fuss about the fact it was the supposed colour of our rivals, but then again I think that was more to do with our rivals than anything else. At that time, Portsmuff weren't really our rivals. We had only played them 4 times in about 20 years and whilst we were getting promoted, playing at Wembley and having the likes of Keegan gracing The Dell, they were hanging around the lower divisions (I think they were even in the Fourth Division when Keegan was unveiled). They just weren't on our radar and we even had more of a rivalry with Brighton around that era!!!!!! Personally have preferred the Yellow and Blue combination for a number reasons (Southamptonshire!!!, Wembley 76 & 79).
exeter_saint Posted 28 February, 2009 Posted 28 February, 2009 2/3 years ago pompeys away kit was BRIGHT red, I think both clubs like to dabble in a kind of 'I shouldnt really be doing this and that what makes it more exciting' way
exeter_saint Posted 28 February, 2009 Posted 28 February, 2009 My favourite kit was also blue, think it was the 3rd kit in around '98. and Pahars has nutmeged Jap Stam and smashed it into the back of the Manchester United net....."
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 28 February, 2009 Posted 28 February, 2009 No way! Way! I've seen a shirt somewhere lately and it looked in almost pristine condition.
Fan The Flames Posted 28 February, 2009 Posted 28 February, 2009 And....KIT FANS!!! Does ANYONE please remember that there was a Yellow Version of the old Rank Xerox kit??? I think it was only worn a few times - wonder if anyone has it? I loved the RX shirts, had the home and away. Didn't know there was a yellow one would love to see it.
