bridge too far Posted 26 February, 2009 Share Posted 26 February, 2009 Just got home from a hectic 24 hours - and I have a new grandson! He was born at 12.30 this morning, tipping the scales at 9lb 6oz. The only sad thing is that he'll be raised as a Toffee My son-in-law is an Everton fan and I wasn't allowed to buy a Saints kit for him. I'll brainwash him eventually
jawillwill Posted 26 February, 2009 Share Posted 26 February, 2009 I always assumed you were too old for grandchildren. I assumed you'd be getting onto the 'greats'. Congrats.

bridge too far Posted 27 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 27 February, 2009 Have you considered Alpine or Stanley as names? No, no we haven't. In truth I think my daughter and her husband will choose his name. I did suggest Matt Wayne Frannie but they weren't that keen TBH.
hamster Posted 27 February, 2009 Share Posted 27 February, 2009 Hey b, was he born on the 27th? If so he is in good company as he shares it with my nipper and my Dad. Two bloody nice blokes, and though I don;t subscribe to the bull in general, boith typical Pisces.

I don't really believe in that bull either (although I'm a typical Gemini ) but Mr TF is a Piscean and I couldn't wish for a lovelier bloke. So if he turns out half as nice then we've got a winner

I is off to pretend to watch a soppy film with Mrs h, (see typical of Piscean), why don't you start a star sign thread while I is gone? I willl check in later (unless 'something' else come's up) to see how it's going.

Is it your first grandchild?? I really wasn`t too happy when I found out that I was going to be a grandad - it meant that you were officially old!! - but it is the best thing ever! My grandson is a continual source of joy. Mind you, we can give him back to our daughter and son-in-law if he does get a bit of a handfull!! Thanks MOG - he's my third grandchild but I WAS a child bride You're right about the giving back bit. I look after my 9 month old granddaughter once a week whilst her mother's at work. It's the best day of the week for me, but I'm quite relieved when 5.30 arrives and I can go home and relax Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. I'm one happy bunny, I can tell you.
