Jillyanne Posted 26 February, 2009 Posted 26 February, 2009 Former EastEnders actress Wendy Richard has died at the age of 65, her agent has confirmed. The star, who played Pauline Fowler in the BBC One soap opera for 21 years, had been suffering from cancer. Her agent Kevin Francis said: "She was incredibly brave and retained her sense of humour right to the end." Last October, Richard revealed she had an aggressive, terminal form of cancer. Soon after that she married her long-term partner John Burns. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7912668.stm Sad news, RIP. Edit - apologies for the 8 in the thread title - can a Mod change it please.
Hatch Posted 26 February, 2009 Posted 26 February, 2009 I passed her in the street a couple of weeks ago. She looked OK then.
Jillyanne Posted 26 February, 2009 Author Posted 26 February, 2009 I passed her in the street a couple of weeks ago. She looked OK then. I was at work with my team leader on the 4th Feb, he was dead on the 9th, this bastard cancer seems to give no warning.

Weston Super Saint Posted 26 February, 2009 Posted 26 February, 2009 I wonder if she left any family behind?
