Thedelldays Posted 23 February, 2009 Posted 23 February, 2009 No, you don't understand. It is pure madness to even think that Wotte could go on and perform better than the iconic Nigel Pearson. Have you taken leave of your senses? Pearson is the new Fergie, only better. pearson is the new fergie....fergie said so.. seriously..if pearson was so well thought of, how come he had to go to league 1 for work..?
JohnnyFartPants Posted 23 February, 2009 Posted 23 February, 2009 pearson is the new fergie....fergie said so.. seriously..if pearson was so well thought of, how come he had to go to league 1 for work..? He was offered the job at AC Milan but he said that people would always assume he had it easy and anyone could have acheived success there. He is a grafter and will one day rule the world.

I think pearson will turn out to be an above average manager that will one day get a shot at a WBA/boro in the prem...hell, he may well get the boro job next year as they look good for the drop.. what I dont get is how people think he will "go to the top"...he saved a team from going down to league 1...well done there hardly premiership bound material...and now winning league 1..well done there with the best team/resources/money/ground/facilites in the entire league.... again, that is nothing to suggest he will "go to the very top"... well..time will tell and IMO he will do well to last more than 3 years in the prem in the next 10 years..

In days gone by you'd have been excommunicated by the church and burned as a heretic for such statements. Hell, you still might in Plymouth

rallyboy Posted 23 February, 2009 Posted 23 February, 2009 if Wotte keeps us up he will have earned the Chelsea job and the decision will be out of our hands! The key is Lowe and I'm not going to harp on about it because we all know the score, he has alienated thousands of fans, worth millions of pounds in income. Simply he would need to leave or perform the biggest U turn of a public apology in history for the club to move forward with him at the helm. I think that is unlikely, so the bank and shareholders will need to protect their dwindling money by inviting him to step down or the business is a dead duck... There are complicated elements to the club BUT playing without your best strikers makes it difficult to win games and having someone unpopular at the top costs you customers.
