What are his stats for penalties now..? I wonder if he's starting to get anywhere near his penalty tutor, MLT..?

Just looked; he's 31 next week. Time flies.

Hope you realise I meant his age Stevo, not how many penalties he's scored. ;)

I was listening to the Stoke P****y match in the car this afternoon. Apparently when BT scored the penalty he did the 'hand to the ear' stuff to the Skate fans and then waved to them.

I'm going to have to watch MotD tonight just to see that :D

Yep, I'll do a rare MOTD watch for that too. Frankly, I'd like to see the guy back at SFC, but he's still too good for us. Perhaps in a couple of seasons.

No mention of the FACT that it wasn't a penalty.

Johnson was pretty bloody stupid to try to control the ball in the way he did, though, knowing there was a pretty good chance it would look like handball even if it wasn't.

Beattie protests too much! Yes, just like Bridge, he has on occassion rammed Pompey fans Jibes back down there throats (quite rightly), however unlike Bridge, I've seen Beattie shrink away like a scared little mouse at Fratton Park, he knows it too, which is why he's spouting off now. Bridge always performs well against Pompey and does his talking on the pitch, including the well deserved 'Celebration' at Chelsea after taking vile dogs abuse. Not read about him mouthing off in the press, despite his apparent genuine dislike of Pompey. I read between the lines and Beattie protests TOO much!

Two goals at the weekend. Not bad for a "scared little mouse" eh? :D

Missed the bit in bold?

I dunno, I seem to remember a cracking free-kick attempt from Beatts in a 1nil loss there. 45 yards out, 20 yard run up, ended up about 45 yards wide.

Did it mean much for Beatts to score against the 'old enemy' today?

You bet it did!!! ;)

I don't get all this pants creaming over those pics to be honest. He doesn't seem to be doing anything any differently from any other goal scoring celebration by either him or any other player.

I see he did the cupped ear thing again but that isn't even in the photos.

the 2nd goal was better - as highlighted by MOTD2 - he ran off celebrating then thought oh hang on i'd better let the pompey lot know who scored and ran back towards them with teh big grin!!

lolz

The hokey cokey Kidd deserved his day in the sun after all the light hearted banter he took off us the blue few,,,,,,Its just the blatant cheating home banker ****ing ref that p*ssed us off:mad:

yes..

on MOTD or goals on sunday (cant remember which) they showed a freeze frame and then a slow mo of the line of sight the ref had..and when you see it that way, and see johnson's body angle it did look like an arm-to-ball moment

It's less than five years ago that he stuck one away for us against Chelsea in 12 SECONDS! How times change.

I really would love to see him pull on the shirt again one day, whatever league we are in. In the meantime though I will revel in his goals against the Skates. As the saying goes; my enemy's (sp) enemy is my friend (especially when it's Beatts).
