Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 February, 2009 Author Posted 20 February, 2009 All that means is that Lowe cut back the inventories massively in August. Surely it generates income!?
trousers Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 What date does the concourse sale usually happen on?
slickmick Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 What date does the concourse sale usually happen on? Know what your thinking.
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 February, 2009 Author Posted 20 February, 2009 Know what your thinking. Pray tell
slickmick Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 Pray tell If I'm right, Trousers is trying to see if it all ties in with the dates that we are rumoured to be going into admin. :smt115
trousers Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 Pray tell Perhaps there are 'rules' about selling off assets cheaply in a period leading up to administration?

alpine_saint Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 Surely it generates income!? do you really think merchandise sales have increased, year-on-year ??
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 February, 2009 Author Posted 20 February, 2009 do you really think merchandise sales have increased, year-on-year ?? Whats that supposed to mean? why complicate things? im simply stating that it must bring in some money for the club!
Window Cleaner Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 Just had an email from the club shop stating that the concourse sale is not on this year as the sale in the megastore is so good! I blame Lowe !!! (-; Gutted, i love the concourse sale! i would have thought that whilst we were manufacturing our own kit we could afford to pile it high and sell it cheap. Doubt if we have the same margins with Umbro. I wonder just how much that move has cost the club.Perhaps the home made kit was crap but I bet we made money on it.
Window Cleaner Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 Perhaps there are 'rules' about selling off assets cheaply in a period leading up to administration? Aren't there some half price kit deals online just now? I bought a grey, sorry flint, shirt at 50% off just the other day.
Deppo Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 I can't believe that the Megastore income would be better in our worst season in memory...

I blame Lowe !!! (-; Gutted, i love the concourse sale! It will be sold (concourse that is) in its entirety upon Administration.
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 February, 2009 Author Posted 20 February, 2009 Im thinking of starting a protest march ....................Oh!
Michelle Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 I'd normally have spent a good few hundred pounds by now, and haven't bought a sausage in there since Rupert has been back. (Not that they sell sausages, but you get my drift.)
Mole Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 I could think of noting worse than going to a jumble sale of Saints tat.
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 February, 2009 Author Posted 20 February, 2009 I could think of noting worse than going to a jumble sale of Saints tat. How about a jumble sale full of Pompey tat?
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 February, 2009 Author Posted 20 February, 2009 I love the concourse sale, always kit the kids right out and get a few bits for ebay!
SB Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 I love the concourse sale, always kit the kids right out and get a few bits for ebay! 3 now?
harwellsaint Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 Just had an email from the club shop stating that the concourse sale is not on this year as the sale in the megastore is so good! I blame Lowe !!! (-; Gutted, i love the concourse sale! strange idea, as i for one would have thought that you could pick up anything to do with saints for next to f all inc, two or three top centre forwards in this league, maybe a statue(or two), lowe's granny etc, add your own to your amusement!
Huffton Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 I could think of noting worse than going to a jumble sale of Saints tat. We've had that already, it was called the transfer window
Amesbury Saint Posted 20 February, 2009 Posted 20 February, 2009 I bought 2 away shirts for £20 last week from the West Quay shop. £10 a shirt is about right. Well done Saints for the 1/2 price shirt with a buy one get one free. My 15 year old son wore his for three successive days - the smelly teenager. Back to the serious points - what is the cost price of a shirt? I have always felt that the club needs to sell as many as cheaply as possible (not £40 each).
