cellone Posted 18 February, 2009 Share Posted 18 February, 2009 It seems the regular army has fallen, those who were left fit enough to fight have been assimilated by our enemies'. All ground has been lost. The Resistance is all we have left. A declaration of war at this time suggests they haven't realised we have been fighting for survival for some while. Now we have joined the war, be it some what belated, we can start to fight back.

St Marco Posted 18 February, 2009 Share Posted 18 February, 2009 At least he has owned up that the club have needed a good physical centre back. He may as well not bother doing interviews if the fans on here are anything to go by.It was truthful and to the point. To be fair though it is propoganda of the highest quality. The reality is that a lot of the players don't feel that way, they won't spill their own blood for the club if you get my meaning. To many have hidden and played when it suits them. If we lose on saturday i have no doubt i will see some of the players living it up in town or in Bournmouth just like they have been doing over the past month or so. We need a guy who will actually lay down the law and make them realise that a loss is not ok, forgeting the lessons of defeat and just repeating the same mistakes is a sign of a poor manager/coach. He should shut up and get on with it, trying to walk the walk is a lot harder then trying to talk the talk. He can talk the talk but it is empty, it means nothing to people, if it means nothing to people does it mean anything to the players? From what i hear the answer is a clear no. .comsaint Posted 18 February, 2009 Share Posted 18 February, 2009 (edited) lol. Thanks for the entertainment Mr Wotte. War? We've got an "Italian" defence alright. It spends most of its time going the wrong way & totally disappears at the first sign of any "shot"... A midfield that's akin to the French army during WWII. Easily over-run & barely puts up a fight... And a strike-force that certainly has no ammunition! War? Don't make me laugh... He may as well not bother doing interviews if the fans on here are anything to go by.It was truthful and to the point. He said that it took three months for him (and presumably Poortvliet) to realise that this is a physical league and that you have to be ready to compete. I guess that counts as owning up. Let's see that bit again: The Championship is a very physical league and if you are not ready to compete then you can be in trouble. This was the big lesson of the first three months when we got beaten several times from set-pieces Yes, truthful and to the point. Said point being that the club engaged the services of two people (and I care not one jot about their nationalities by the way) who took three months to figure out that we play in a tough, physical league and that you need players who can cope with that in order to survive. Oh, and that you have to be able to defend set-pieces. Good old-fashioned, blunt, honest talking there then. Wotte's not to like, eh?
