Delmary Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 (edited) Season tickets holders. If we are in League 1 next season, still under Lowe and Wilde's stewardship - will you renew? http://www.londonsaints.com/cgi-bin/b3poll/b3poll.cgi?action=vote&poll=newpoll http://www.londonsaints.com/ Edited 18 February, 2009 by Delmary
Delmary Posted 18 February, 2009 Author Posted 18 February, 2009 (edited) I'll not renew my two season tickets if Lowe and Wilde are still here next season. Shame really as I've been a season ticket holder since 1996. Edited 18 February, 2009 by Delmary
Scudamore Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 Thank you for bringing that article on Matt Le Tissier's after dinner speech to my attention...
Delmary Posted 18 February, 2009 Author Posted 18 February, 2009 Thank you for bringing that article on Matt Le Tissier's after dinner speech to my attention...Was a good read;)
saints_is_the_south Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 It's a really really tough call. As much as i hate Lowe with a passion, I just don't know if could handle not going to football. Despite the cr*p we've been served up this season & i still enjoy going & having a laugh with mates more than anything. As stated before the only thing that will stop me renewing is the prices being increased, regardless of what division we are in.
Pancake Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 (edited) Thank you for bringing that article on Matt Le Tissier's after dinner speech to my attention... Just read that, very odd that it "allegedly" took place at the HMV Extravaganza dinner on Tuesday 3rd Feb 2009, yet David James makes mention of it in his article in the Guardian back in May 2008. And yet there are only 2 other mentions of this anti-semitic remark on the entire 'net. Edited 18 February, 2009 by Pancake
sidthesquid Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 I will still renew - how could I ditch something that has been part of my life since 1970? But I am willing to make them work for it if somebody comes up with a suggestion that will have more impact than stomping down the High Street like 1970's Trade Unionist throwbacks (It didn't work then, either....)
OldNick Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 Its my pastime watching Saints why give that up after all the years just because the boardroom is not that great.

And we also all know that Glenn Hoddle is a sh:t... Both jokes get the thumbs up from me... And if i were slightly p:ssed at an after dinner speech do i'd probably p:ss myself...not sit there open mouthed...

And if i were slightly p:ssed at an after dinner speech do i'd probably p:ss myself...not sit there open mouthed... TBH, I hardly think it's real quote. I imagine Calamity was relying on a 3rd party who said they heard the joke being said. Funny how MLT was alleged to have said it at 2 awards a year apart and it shocked people at both, yet it never made the news in more that 2 "chit chat" columms. If I was MLT, I would like to have a little word with James.
Charlie Wayman Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 Very soon now we'll be bombarded with "March Madness" offers by Sir Rupert. Last year I fell for it, this year it's a recycling bin job without opening the envelope. No Way, I'm going to watch Third Division football again ever, Saints or no Saints! I did all that in the sixties when I was young and foolish and lost a girlfriend or two in the process for my sins. Now there are not enough years left... too many other things to do. If they stay up and Rupert is still here, then same answer. If WE stay up and HE"S GONE, I'll be back for more...
Berkers Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 I am part of a group of a dozen or so that have sat together for many years (including The Dell) and losing the seat is the only real reason that I renewed this season. I will still go next season, but not as often, and buy the seat by the game - can't imagine it'll be in too much demand.
Junction 9 Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 I shall comment on this after I've seen the price for league 1. I expect to renew though.
georgeg Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 Its my pastime watching Saints why give that up after all the years just because the boardroom is not that great. not that great ..... FFS "not that great" is not exactly how I would describe it!!!!!!

"Hoddle phoned me at home recently," said Le Tissier. "I was in the toilet. My wife said Hoddle was on the phone, but I told her I could only cope with one **** at a time." Well I laughed...
RedFear Posted 18 February, 2009 Posted 18 February, 2009 im not going to renew whatever league we are in if they are still here. although admittedly thats becoming a bit of a mute point anyway

mightysaints Posted 19 February, 2009 Posted 19 February, 2009 I have just had a weeks skiing with my 12 year old son, we are both long term season ticket holders and have agreed that a week in the sun skiing is better than going to SMS week after week and getting totaly ****ed off. Lowe goes i may renew, he stays then forget it
Saint Fan CaM Posted 19 February, 2009 Posted 19 February, 2009 I will not be renewing at March Madness and will see what happens over the summer. I was fleeced of my money last year just prior to Lowe ditching everything Pearson and Crouch had done to keep us up and get the good-vibe back at SMS. It will not happen again - ever.
tulip Posted 19 February, 2009 Posted 19 February, 2009 i find it hard to believe that anyone would renew under this present regime.i've been a season ticket holder for 25 years and i wont be renewing until these goons have gone.ok,it might hurt the club but no more than these goons have.keep the pressure on.
Sheff Saint Posted 19 February, 2009 Posted 19 February, 2009 God. That Tiss joke was no different to me saying I like going to America cos I don’t feel as fat. If I said that would I be racist or just having some fun at a harmless stereotype? Matt's was no different. David James column makes it sound like he was praising Hitler. I think I may just go and add David James' name to the hated names thread. The pretentious skate c**t.
SaintRobbie Posted 19 February, 2009 Posted 19 February, 2009 I thought both jokes were quite funny to be honest... don't tell Dalek the one about Hoddle though LOL !! shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
