Weston Super Saint Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 I wager you have never cooked bacon before or seen the rasher change from pink to white then to slowly brown, before your eyes. Oh I have. I just know that when it finally goes brown on my side, the other side is completely burnt to a crisp
saint1977 Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 HP sauce is the perfect sauce for bacon, as long as you don't add too much. K*tch*p should be banned - it adds nothing to any meal. I have recently begun regularly having bacon and fried egg sarnies. I say sarnies, but really I tend to use rolls, not slices of bread. Agree on the HP in a Bacon Sandwich - had that many a time after a hangover! Good quality tomato ketchup is good in a proper burger though and does contain lypocine (antioxidant - very good for you although tomato puree has the best beneficial effect). I'm not one of those people who puts it on everything though (or that many things at all really) - one of my friends does and it has to be Heinz as well. Scudamore Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 You gourmets are well out of context. If all you can talk about is bacon then we Saints fans deserve what we get. But the bacon has a context...it's all in my analogy earlier in the thread. Furthermore if as a Saints fan all we're allowed to think about in our lives is Saints then we would become very dull individuals... And i'm not sure there's a sauce in trhe land that would make a Saints sandwich palletable...

sunrise Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 If you want a 'revolutionary bacon butty' then add a bit of Gouda or Edam. On second thoughts though, dutch cheese is out of place in a bacon butty, just like Wotte is out of place at SFC.
