Arizona Posted 14 February, 2009 Author Posted 14 February, 2009 What the hell does Wotte do in training with these guys? Killer has not made the slightest difference to our rubbish defence. Why the f*ck would he? He's been here for 7 years, give or take a few trips to surgeons accross the Northern hemisphere. Why would he suddenly improve our defence just because Lowe have given him a fancy job title?
Plumstead_Saint Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Bloody hell! Euell hits post and puts rebound over
1976_Child Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Awesome! We are one nil down! Woooo Hoooooo! Yeah baby!! Get in there Bristol... Woooo Hoooo!!!
lamanga Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 euell off the post and skied the rebound by the sounds of it
wheels Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Cut 4 pts adrift of Barnsley in 20th and they have 2 games in hand. We are down - end of
saintjay77 Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Will not be listening to the 2nd half - just can't take it anymore. We are usually good in 1 half and arse in the other. I am hoping that the 1st half was the arse half and will stuck around for the 2nd just in case.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Please Saints - put one in before half-time....please!
saintjay77 Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Awesome! We are one nil down! Woooo Hoooooo! Yeah baby!! Get in there Bristol... Woooo Hoooo!!! I guess thats meant to be funny?
Nexstar Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Cut 4 pts adrift of Barnsley in 20th and they have 2 games in hand. We are down - end of And 4 points behind norwich, who have no games in hand. Or we put on a good show, turn it around, end up 1 point form safety and are right in the mix.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Cut 4 pts adrift of Barnsley in 20th and they have 2 games in hand. We are down - end of Daft thing to say just before half time when we are only 1-0 down, and hit the post twice. Come back in 50 minutes

Why would have suddenly improve our defence just because Lowe have given him a fancy job title? Nothing to do with a fancy title - he's been given licence to make a difference in training with the squad and I would hope that means working on defensive duties (as he's one of the best defenders to have pulled on a Saints shirt you'll agree). He has not made a difference - still making the same basic mistakes - but that may not be his fault as it's probably the material he's working with. Simple really.

1976_Child Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 I guess thats meant to be funny? yeah. about as funny as SFC is at the moment. It was actually supposed to be ironic.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 McGoldrick just wide! Hope he's better at Cricket than he is at Footy...
.comsaint Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 I am seeing a number of chances in this game - if only we can find our shooting boots. We do sound like conceeding though every time City attack - which is worrying somewhat. But I can see us scoring. I'd grab a point ffs quite happily having said that...

As a quality and experienced defender, I'd imagine he has always been barking out instructions and advice to the other defenders, both in training and on the pitch. Other than being a bit more vocal, I can't see as he is really doing much more than that.

Saint_clark Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Gillette SS saying Rudi lucky not to be sent off :smt102 A City player had a head wound, that's all I know. It was a drop ball though not a free-kick, and none of the City fans made a fuss about anything.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Its not all doom and gloom at Ashton Gate according to Will Cope on Radio H. Well f&ck me - I am so glad about that - everything is actually very rosey...we're going to storm this one. Oh.
um pahars Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Cut 4 pts adrift of Barnsley in 20th and they have 2 games in hand. We are down - end of TBF Barnsley having two games in hand is no sign of us being totally fcked. Given their current return they'd be lucky to get 2 points from those games. That said, we cant keep on losing!!!!!!!!!

Belgiansaint Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 when checking on the beeb' website for the score, I clicked on the "league 1" link...
.comsaint Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Is this game one of Wotte's "we need to win at least 6 of our remaining games"? I would assume not.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 when checking on the beeb' website for the score, I clicked on the "league 1" link... Remember it for next season:rolleyes:

Other than being a bit more vocal, I can't see as he is really doing much more than that. Sorry mate - can't agree with that. If he's a coach then I would expect him to be more involved with direct instruction - not just shout at players! As I say - its no critique of Killer as a player - just that his coaching contribution (whatever that is) is not improving the team. Mind you as an attacking midfielder, I was always taught that I was the first line of defence - not so sure some of our players get this.

Window Cleaner Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Unfortunately using that logic niether can Barnsley !! Mind you, Birmingham pulling their finger out and thumping Forest would help.
um pahars Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Norwich losing is good news. Barnsley can't pull away cos not playing (they will have two games in hand though). Same for Watford, who will have two games in hand. Doncaster winning pulls them away further. Forest drawing (but away at Brum will be tough). If it stays like this, then it's another bad day at the office, however, scarpping a draw could be seen as OK.
um pahars Posted 14 February, 2009 Posted 14 February, 2009 Plus if it stays like this, Charlton will be a win away from overtaking us, (assuming we lose the next tiome Charlton win).

I can't accept that Killer has been sitting on a load of revolutionary new coaching ideas, but hasn't bothered to mention them until now because he is only a player.
