CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 14 February, 2009 Share Posted 14 February, 2009 At least we can get used to the devestation of relegation allready as its the hope that kills you. So i can think of something to thank Lowe for, killing hope. There you go Lowe. My legacy.... i killed all hope. That just about sums up how I feel , all hope abandoned . Each new defeat just passes over me now as I expect nothing else in all honesty , the mixture of pity and mirth I'll get at work on Monday hardly hurts much either to be frank - we're shi*e and we know we are . The only glimmer of light left in my footballing existence is the hope that the coming Relegation/Administration will finally rid us Lowe/Wilde and we can start the rebuilding process - Oh Gods of Football I beseech thee ! don't forsake us and take that last ray of hope away from Saints fans , we've truly suffered enough . :smt010
SaintRobbie Posted 14 February, 2009 Share Posted 14 February, 2009 Stu, I think you will find we've fallen away significantly in those areas too. Particularly the youth team

FloridaMarlin Posted 14 February, 2009 Share Posted 14 February, 2009 If Lowe senses that everyone has given up, that will be one area, I'm afraid, where you will be able to hold fans liable for the results. Hearing (or reading on this forum) that supporters have given up any hope of staying in the Championship will be music to his ears. It gives him carte blanche to do whatever he likes for at least the rest of this season. Why should he bother to change his modus operandi if fans have no expectations anyway? The expectations I had at the start of the season were relegation, so at least he hasn't disappointed me. If that makes me part of the disease, then I'll put my hand up. This club holds nothing for me anymore. What's worrying is that I can't even get angry or annoyed about it any more. I just have ambivalent feelings of acceptance that this club is doomed. I know people will claim that nobody has a devine right to play in the top flight for ever and point to the likes of Man City, Stoke,vAston Villa and other clubs who have dipped into the third tier and returned. The gaps between the Prem and the Championship, and the Championship and League One are no so big, it's almost impossible to rescale the heights. Yes, somebody will quote Hull City at me, and good for them. But they are run by a progressive, forward-thinking set of people. I have had to accept that I will never see this club play in the top flight again in my lifetime. Oh, and another thing. Does anybody think that the only reason we haven't gone into administration yet is because there is a big game of chicken going on and our last desperate hope is that others of the 15 or so clubs thought to be in danger, might go first and cop the points deduction to make us safe? Never mind, baseball season is just around the corner.
Alain Perrin Posted 14 February, 2009 Share Posted 14 February, 2009 You've really lost it here Alain:smt048:smt048:smt048:rolleyes: You're in the same boat as Professor on this one (and trust me, that's not good company) LMFAO. Mullah's, shoe bombers, inciting others, fcking hell fella you're coming across as right prck on this one. Go and have a lie down and reflect on your posts, as you're not doing yourself any favours on this one. As for my view on luck, I'm afraid I'm a rationalist: Excellent wiki-ing Um, and thanks for calling me a *****. You cannot deny that you've been a vocal critic of most things Lowe has done. May be not agitating, but certainly front and centre, colours clearly nailed to the mast and, I would argue, less rational for it. Speaking of which, my interpretation of luck is not in the Irish leprechaun sense, it is also rational. I do recognise that a series of events led to our relegation, some of Lowe's making, some of others. But I always think that but for a Higgy own goal or a "harder to miss" goal scoring opportunity we might not have found ourselves relegated and in the financial poop shoot. However, if you win enough games through sweat and talent, 'luck' is an irrelevance. And ultimately Lowe, the players and, my argument above, the fans too have a responsibility of varying degrees for why that didn't happen then, and isn't happening now. For me it just isn't black or white.
Wes Tender Posted 15 February, 2009 Share Posted 15 February, 2009 In-fighting amongst the fans is one of many causes of it. IMHO a large number of our fans have forgotten we support the same team. Agree totally. All of us digruntled fans should realise that we will achieve nothing if there is not unity of purpose. We should unite and boycott until the pompous egotistical ass is gone and has taken the treacherous Quisling and the other charlatans with him. Also, as a beneficial side effect, the players with poorer levels of concentration will not see any dissent amongst the fans in the stadium, as we won't be there. I'm sure that you will be happy also that the disruptive elements like me will be removed, so that the stadium only contains those entirely positive people. Shame that there aren't more of them, eh? Start winning games, reduce the prices and there might be, but paying £24 to watch loss after loss is not good value or good entertainment. It's really simple; As long as Lowe and Wilde remain, the numbers attending will decrease and the protests will increase.
Mole Posted 15 February, 2009 Share Posted 15 February, 2009 Those opposed to Lowe have been proved right. I take no pleasure in being proved right though. Lowe and Wilde have destroyed this club and there's no point in me saying i told you he would. We will bounce back one day and if we can get rid of Lowe and Wilde i hope i can start enjoying Saints again. Being negative all the time isn't fun, but there are no positives. um pahars Posted 15 February, 2009 Share Posted 15 February, 2009 Excellent wiki-ing Um, and thanks for calling me a *****. I presume you didn't notice the italics then (indicating it was a staright lift). And don't get all prissy on me for suggesting that you've been coming across as a prck with your posts, particularly after the insults you've been freely dishing out. You cannot deny that you've been a vocal critic of most things Lowe has done.
