So does that mean we've signed him or are we testing him out first? (The striker rather than A N Other).

IMO the A N Other sounds like a possible introduction to the acadamy rather than a possible 1st teamer.

The possible Loan Striker cant be that high up in the pecking order of a prem club if we aren going to trial them 1st either can he?

Some of you people who have made suggestions of players seem to still be mistaking us for a club who could attract top players and have the money to do so.

Forget anyone like Harewood and Bendtner because its laughable to even suggest it. Start looking in clubs' under 18s then you will be nearer to the truth.

Probably end up with another Pekhart.

Bloody hell there's more than one of them? Hopefully Ched Evans (whose had CCC experience already) from Man Citeh or Freddie Sears from West Ham. Would prefer a right back though.

No it doesn't.

Don't forget we had Molami Bokoto playing for us the first time we played Hoddle's Academy who scored an over head but hasn't signed :(

Do you have any idea who it might be MB? Or is it going to be the case one of us is going to have to get over to Marchwood to find out?!

Case of someone going to have to get over to Marchwood, unless Pilchards is already there?

2 strikers we've been linked with on here (TSW) from the Prem are Dos Santos and Welbeck.

with raft of games coming up for both Manure and Chelsea you can bet you bottom dollar that it won't be either of those. Wellbeck is bloody starting in FA Cup games, and Dos Santos came on in the Stoke game a couple of weeks ago.

Ben Sahar didn't get a game whilst on loan at the Skates. They clearly want him to get experience.

Ricardo Vaz Te

More likely Ricardo Fuller - he's out injured for a long time and therefore much more our type of loanee.

Vaz Te is out till June.

I don't think we want Torres, he has a dodgy hamstring, and he looked a bit shell-shocked when he was made to go to Fratton the other week, I bet we get stuck with some losers like Drogba or Tevez.

Watched Tevez play for Argentina against France last night.

came on as a sub and immediately went on a charge that created Argentina's second goal. He really is an awesome player, a bit ugly but awesome anyway.

The striker plus A N other trialist playing this afternoon v Glenn Hoddles Academy at Marchwood.

After 9 months of viewing this soap opera on here, I thought I'd join in.

Just got back from Staplewood. Wasn't allowed in as jobsworth told me it was "behind closed doors" and you had to be on the guest list. He wouldn't accept I was Gus Hiddinck!!

Sahar or Di Santo would be great, but very unlikely with the wages.

If we loan a youngster like either of those from the prem I'd be surprised if we were paying a bean towards there wages. Why does everyone on here think that a loan imediately means we have to pay something? Most clubs see loaning out youngsters as part of there development do you think bournemouth paid the wages of all the players we lent them?!? I suspect not.

Saw Sahar for Sheffield Wednesday last year looked a good prospect allthough he was continuously offside for most of the match.

He wanted to go to tax free, easy life Monaco. As he is not a French National he had the right to be a "resident" ie for tax purposes. French nationals don't have this right. They can live there if they want but not as a tax haven.

Our national crooner Johnny Halliday (who ?) tried to become a Belgian citizen a while back so that he could be taxed in Monaco, didn't work.

He used us;Metz didn't care who they got money from.

We have two decent stikers out on loan who would cost us a f*cking fortune in wages to have them here. If we can get a younger Prem striker with Prem club subsidising wages then it would be a better deal.

As long as he scores .... Pekhart anyone? 19 goals in 20 reserve matches dont think there were many players in that league scoring more and he was still garbage. Least we know a Rasiak or John CAN score in this division.

On Solent at 4.20pm Mr Wotte said that he was happy with his squad and despite being offered players he didn`t think that anyone would be coming in.

2 things:

1) Is Wotte crazy in being happy with a squad that has comfortably got us to next to bottom in the league and;

2) What would he know about transfers - I thought that was Rupert's department???

that was the headline but went onto sat will keep looking at players other clubs and agents have as available, in other words didn't write off players here now in case we can't get better in but is looking for better

What would seal it for me is if he had recently purchased a watch identical to the ones sold in the Southampton Earnest Jones

He asked BWP to fetch one while he posed outside.

Anybody got a picture of James Beattie celebrating with his hand to his ear at the Pompey fans at St Marys in 2003.

Can't find it anywhere and am not allowed to post a new topic because I haven't paid my fiver.

cheers for any help.

I hear Collins John is returning to England to play for a less than Premiership team, no idea if its Saints though.

I made a post about this recently.

He was on trial at Charlton but no idea how things went there.

I think he'd be a decent signing for us to be honest, well worth having a look at anyway.

He's big, powerful, pacey and has bags of potential.

Oh and he's Dutch too. ;)

Yep, but it'll cost you 5.50 plus P&P.
