stevegrant Posted 9 February, 2009 Author Posted 9 February, 2009 lol...they should never have got rid of Avram Grant. Serves them right. Correct.
hamster Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 Must be Sack Your Manager Week... Let's hope so eh.
Window Cleaner Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 Didn't understand the specificity of football north of the English Channel, like so many before him. English football is in no way, shape or form played as it is elsewhere. It's probably the others who've gone off the track though. I watched Spurs Arsenal yesterday and couldn't believe some of the stuff that fouls were given for and some of the stuff that wasn't.
Andy_Porter Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 They really need a bright young manager who can build for the future.
Cosham Scientist Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 I think Voldeknapp will go there. It's his spiritual home after all... He supported them as a child etc. etc.
Thedelldays Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 lol...they should never have got rid of Avram Grant. Serves them right. totally agree..I thought grant was very good for them..he was a slipped penalty kick from winning the CL... the stick grant got for no reason from chelsea fans and the media makes you wonder if he would go back.

Thing with Grant was that he didn't need to boost his own ego. He got on with the job and was very unlucky to end up winning nothing last season. Sadly his reign was pre-judged and, amazingly, people judged him on his apperance as well. At least under Avram Chelski looked like they might score a goal.
Andy_Porter Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 All gone downhill since Clarke left to West Ham and Ray Wilkins came in and they forgot how to defend. Sacking someone after 6 months is ridiculous though.

At least under Avram Chelski looked like they might score a goal. i read an interview a while ago with grant... one thing he mentioned was that the team went on a 10 game winning streak in all competitions and they finally drew a game and the fans were acting like the end of the world, demanding he resigned etc..
Franny's Tash Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 Bloody hilarious, hopefully Chelsea will now disappear into the obscurity from whence they came. I wonder who's made that decision, Abramakrook or that snake Kenyon. Their treatment of Grant was appalling, by the media as much as anything else- any good result was down to his predecessor, any bad result was down to him. Must be laughing his arse off. Not "sexy" enough for Chelsea, so they brought someone in who was then sack him after 7 months!

Be odd if he did and in doing so shot the poopy plane down in flames.

Andy_Porter Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 Slaven Bilic! They will probably be boring and go for someone like Hiddink or Mancini.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 9 February, 2009 Posted 9 February, 2009 They should never have got rid of Mourinho. No they shouldn't, he's been their best manager by a lonnnngg way.
thesaint sfc Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 They should never have got rid of Mourinho. Agreed. Most of the chelsea fans I've spoken to want him back. Can't see it happening.
Pancake Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 This heading was used by one of the Red Tops, hope you sue Steve.
JohnnyFartPants Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 Jose to return IMO! Avram Grant is the big rumour.
Julian H. Cope Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 What about Speedie & Dixon. Nearly worked for us.
bungle Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 Avram Grant is the big rumour. Would be funny if skates wanted him but he ended up going back to Chelski.
bridge too far Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 Would be funny if skates wanted him but he ended up going back to Chelski. Hmmmm tough one. I'm Avram Grant. Shall I go to Chelsea, a glamorous club where I'll get well paid? Or shall I go to Poopey, where I'll get paid peanuts and work in a sh*t hole? :-k
OttawaSaint Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 LOLerz. Football karma. I hope Grant goes back and shows those scummy glory hunters what for by relegating them on purpose.
St Landrew Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 I see Guus Hiddink is in. He's a cracker of a coach. Now that is one Dutch Football experiment I'd love to try. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/7882667.stm
