thesaint sfc Posted 9 February, 2009 Share Posted 9 February, 2009 Thoughts? I thought it was pretty good, but as usual with Calvin Harris I can imagine it being the only decent song on his next album, similar to the last album which had 1 decent song ('girls') and 1 mediocre song ('acceptable in the 80's.') The rest were pretty awful. Some of this songs sound pretty good when other people remix them, which is kind of ironic (sp?) when he is supposedly a DJ. He's young though and I think he could become pretty good when he start to come up with some good lyrics, or focuses more on the music than his voice. Rory Posted 10 March, 2009 Share Posted 10 March, 2009 I quite like it and am looking forward to hearing it in clubs but, seriously, anyone could make the music Calvin Harris does. I love Girls and Acceptable in the 80s but I can't understand how he's become so successful with his amateur tracks.
J Bizzle Posted 15 March, 2009 Share Posted 15 March, 2009 Deadmau5 remix on pete tong's show friday was pretty fookin good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00j0gs3 roughly 20 mins in.

J Bizzle Posted 29 March, 2009 Share Posted 29 March, 2009 Tiesto remix is no where near as good as the Deadmau5 one, which imo is by far teh best version of the track.
Andy_Porter Posted 29 March, 2009 Share Posted 29 March, 2009 That Deadmau5 remix is awesome, he's easily my favourite producer at the moment. Hopefully i'll get a chance to see him DJ again soon.
J Bizzle Posted 30 March, 2009 Share Posted 30 March, 2009 What is the best source for all new dance music? such as good forums, websites etc...
Andy_Porter Posted 30 March, 2009 Share Posted 30 March, 2009 http://www.newmixes.com Get all my music from there. A state of trance and Trance around the world are a good starting point.
J Bizzle Posted 31 March, 2009 Share Posted 31 March, 2009 That is a good site S13, i used to use it before uni. I was looking for something that lets you know what all the new tunes comming out are though. On top of that heard Norman Doray's new one a couple of weeks back on tongy's show, ****ing great track, as is the new swedish house mafia one. J Bizzle Posted 7 April, 2009 Share Posted 7 April, 2009 Is that "Last Forever"? Yeah, hadn't heard it previously. Heard a fair few good tracks from WMC. Arno Cost 'Cyan' is one i'm liking today. Expect Prydz will play that when he plays brizzle later this month.
Smirking_Saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 TBF calvins new album is pretty good, but I'm not alone is by far the best song on the album. And he does not actually like his own voice, he hates it, but apparantly it's what people want.
J Bizzle Posted 11 April, 2009 Share Posted 11 April, 2009 I'm not alone is far too overplayed. It's starting to get irritating, still think the deadmau5 remix is the best version of the song.
