Dimond Geezer Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 Oh, go on then, I'll take the honours again on this one.... So, the lunatics have taken over the asylum then? Now you're really saying something. I've always said it ain't what you do it's the way that you do it. One thing's for sure, the more I see the less I believe. You've mised th obvious one: Lord Lowe could sing “A message you to Rudy”. I think he’s already heard it loud & clear though.
Bakovnetski Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 Coldplay. Teh drummer can then buy the club while he's here. Has to be...saw them in Rotterdam last year...awesome. They gave Saints a big plug too.
trousers Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 Has to be...saw them in Rotterdam last year...awesome. They gave Saints a big plug too. Will they still be whooping about Saints on stage after we go into administration? That's the trouble with 'pop stars'....no grip on reality....if this Will Champion fellow was as "avid" (quote/unquote) a fan as he says he is then why has he (apparently) never approached the club to at least discuss becoming 'involved' financially? There's no point bigging up Saints from behind the comfort of one's drum kit if one has the financial clout to help save the club yet (seemingly) does nowt tangible about it.... Still, it's good to have a random rant about a drummer of a popular music combo every now and then.....
Pancake Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 With all due respect are The Specials likely to fill a 32k stadium? If they perform well, they could send a message to Rudi.

TBF Trousers, he does at least go to the games, when he's not touring (more than can be said for many of our higher profile supporters).
Channon's Sideburns Posted 10 February, 2009 Posted 10 February, 2009 How about Cradle of Filth?? Not my cup of tea, but would be very apt considering the members of our boardroom and those who support them. b@stards..

Baring in mind we should be given amphetamines when we walk in the ground these days that would be quite apt

Hmm...saying that everyone with a six-figure salary, or a reasonable pot of cash, should get financially involved with the club and chip in has been done already though, remember the Saints Trust? When we were in the Prem we supposedly had the second most wealthy set of fans after Chelsea according to some worthy poll. Where did they go all of a sudden? If we are looking for someone to put in a financial "plug" then Gavyn Davies is your man and not a humble bongo man Trousers.... Edited 11 February, 2009 by Bakovnetski
SimonRichards Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 The Changingman. Time to start a rumour... I saw Coldplay in Milan last year. I wanted to go to the sage door after the show and throw that quote back at him about buying us.
Pancake Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 I saw Coldplay in Milan last year. I wanted to go to the sage door after the show and throw that quote back at him about buying us. Just wasnt enough thyme, eh?
charliemiller Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 There will be a concert potentially in the summer , but I think you will be disapointed with who it is !!! Certainly not coldplay .
Give it to Ron Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 Who? No Daltrey is too old to tour now.

Julian H. Cope Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 I've got it on good authority that Flowered Up are reforming for a one off special. It's On.
Dr Octopus Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 I can't believe nobodys suggested.............. DIRE STRAITS!!!! "Money for nothing" seems a very apt song.
krissyboy31 Posted 11 February, 2009 Posted 11 February, 2009 He is scottish with spikey hair He could afford to take us over! But then again he'd probably insist in being in the team.
SimonRichards Posted 12 February, 2009 Posted 12 February, 2009 He is scottish with spikey hair Nooooooooo. Big nose, He's got a ****ing big nose
Window Cleaner Posted 12 February, 2009 Posted 12 February, 2009 This time last year Bon Jovi had been announced and tickets had been on sale for ages. Are we not having a gig this year? Surely it must be a good money spinner for the club during the summer months when the ground is unused? It depends just how much money we make out of it. Perhaps it's less than we might imagine. The 2006/7 administration didn't bother either. Now if Claus would like to pay for reseeding the pitch again, that would be handy Perhaps with the recession they're afraid of making a loss, other than that perhaps there are no big draw bands available.I think the Rose Bowl have muscled in on that scene now as well..
Window Cleaner Posted 12 February, 2009 Posted 12 February, 2009 He is scottish with spikey hair Jeez them jocks are creeping in everywhere. I was watching Sky News last evening, about the banks and the parliamentary commission and all that. Jocks every one of them, it's our (well your) money and they're letting jocks manage it. I shall return to the UK for the next election and cast my vote for the United Non-Jock Looney party. Bring back Lizzy 1, at least she knew what to do with jocks.
