Even if they deserve it, is it such a problem?

Felt guilty after hollering at an old man today, but he fully deserved it

Old people don't become less able on purpose, it just happens to them.

Just remember, all of you will be old one day. If your lucky!

I shouted at an old(ish) man yesterday after he did a three point turn in the road where I was parked and slammed straight back into the side of my car.

I called him a moron and suggested that he sod off right away.

You not get his insurance details?

No. I wasn't bothered as I have a three and a half ton pickup and he didn't do any damage. I was angry with him mainly for trying to do a three point turn in a space that was too small, and for being clumsy. I felt like dragging him out of his car and berating him a lot more but he was Asian and I could just imagine the outcome.

If he had been BWP or Dave MaccyG would you have told him how crap he is and risk having an indian thrown at you?

If he was old and white would it have made a difference?

I might have shouted at him a bit more but there are so many people around who would have immediately taken sides against me precisely because he was Asian rather than him being a totally inept driver.

So you're saying it would be considered racist to shout at a crap Asian driver, but it's acceptable to shout at a crap white driver.

Gotta love this brave new world

Not at all. I am just saying that it would be the perception of people that it was racially motivated when it wasn't. I didn't care whether he was white, black or sky-blue, he was a crap, inconsiderate driver who needed telling.

Apart from the bit where you mentioned he was an Asian ;)

I had already shouted at him through the open window long before I noticed his ethnicity. Once I was aware I restrained myself due to the possibility of the apologistas having a hissy-fit.

My first post never mentioned anything except his stupidity, inability to drive and his relative age.

It was only when answering Shane's question about stopping him to get his insurance details that I mentioned his being Asian. Basically because it would have been too much trouble to go to when there was no damage.

Oh, and stop trying to get a rise out of me you sod; you know full well my feelings towards racism.

I wish I had; my daughter and wife had spent an hour in New Look, looking for a belt, while I was sitting in the car reading the paper and getting bored out of my mind.

Which may have gone a long way towards my "Mr Grumpy" mood.
