bjk Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Can see us getting our first point on saturday. Derby 1 Saints 1
SaintDonkey Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 If we can play like we did against Brum I reckon we can be on the right side of a 2-1 victory. Of course that means not selling Surman and John before then!
chocco boxo Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 We will not be dancing on the pitch thats for sure. Derby to get their first league win the ages. 3-1. JP will be saying how well we played and how unlucky we were. Will we hear RL or MW comment on how crap we are?
The Incongruous Monk Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 2-0 Derby. In the end we were lucking not to get well beaten by Brum, Derby should win this comfortably. :-(
exit2 Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby havent won a league game under PJ. So you can guess what will happen! Might be worth putting a tenner on Derby
SaintDonkey Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Couldn't give a sh*t! What are you doing on a Saints fans forum then?
bjk Posted 19 August, 2008 Author Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby havent won a league game under PJ. So you can guess what will happen! Might be worth putting a tenner on Derby That aint a bad idea seeing as i never win sod all,i'll do that then perhaps Saints will win.
SaintDonkey Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 That aint a bad idea seeing as i never win sod all,i'll do that then perhaps Saints will win. Derby are at 4/5 for the win - not the most tempting odds I've ever seen!
benjii Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 It's really hard to call. Conceivably we could blow Derby away and get a cushion. The corwd will be well on their back. Jewell will be clueless..... etc. On the other hand, we could have a good 30 minutes, get a goal and then be completely outplayed for the next 60 minutes (as per the last two league games). Also, who knows which players will be left by Saturday? I reckon we might play a bit cagier than thus far and come away with a 1-1.
DT Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby 2 - Saints 0 Davis is still in goal and we have a brittle defence in front of him.
benjii Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby 2 - Saints 0 Davis is still in goal and we have a brittle defence in front of him. The same Davis who has been completely faultless so far this season? Yeah, what a bummer.
Master Bates Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 2 v 2. Ater leading 2 v 0. I remember that game, first game that season with Hassan Kachloul scoring
GeckoSaint Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 (edited) I'm going for a 3-3. The folks at Derby aren't very confident going into this one. We can't keep a clean sheet and nor can they! Edited 19 August, 2008 by GeckoSaint
Nexstar Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 I'm going for a 3-3. The folks at Derby aren't very confident going into this one. We can't keep a clean a sheet and nor can they! True, they haven't kept a clean sheet in the league since march and before that it was october.
SuperMikey Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 3-1 to Derby. Not confident about this one at all.
Danny R Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 1-1 We will go 1-0 down having dominated but Saga will come off the bench and score in injury time.
Jesus Reigned Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 1-1 We will go 1-0 down having dominated but Saga will come off the bench and score in injury time. I think your 1-1 prediction might be right but I can't see Saga scoring, particularly given that he doesn't play for us at the moment
Saint Martini Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 I think your 1-1 prediction might be right but I can't see Saga scoring, particularly given that he doesn't play for us at the moment Think again http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=702
Jesus Reigned Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Think again http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=702 Yeah I did see that after my post, but surely he was only training with us during a visit back here?
Paul Chuckle Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby 4 -0 Southampton This will be the start of a Derby revival. Derby will be 1-0 up at half time and then will destroy us in the second half
DT Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 The same Davis who has been completely faultless so far this season? Yeah, what a bummer. watch the goals conceded again
Manchester John Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Don't we have a horrible history of gifting wins to clubs on a bad run? Hoping for better, though, my first viewing of the JP revolution. 1-1
JohnnyFartPants Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Don't we have a horrible history of gifting wins to clubs on a bad run? Hoping for better, though, my first viewing of the JP revolution. 1-1 Didn't Leeds break there "cannot win away from home" against us after more than a season or something similar?
Danny R Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 I think your 1-1 prediction might be right but I can't see Saga scoring, particularly given that he doesn't play for us at the moment I was hoping someone would bite! I need to get out more.
JohnnyFartPants Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 3-1 Derby We can score for toffee We can? Is that a new player incentive scheme from the Dutch Duo?
Saints foreva Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby 3-1 Saints - Derby have gone so long without a win and its always Saints who f*ck these sort of things up. Long Long Season Ahead Anyone remember when Liverpool went like 3 months without a win and then came to St Marys, we had a unbeaten home recored.. Surley it was a home win. No 1-0 Liverpool.
Danny R Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Didn't Leeds break there "cannot win away from home" against us after more than a season or something similar? They did, 2-0 at the Dell. We are nice like that
benjii Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 watch the goals conceded again Well I've been to both league games. He has been excellent in both.
Stu Man Do Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 The same Davis who has been completely faultless so far this season? Yeah, what a bummer. I do wonder what games some people watch! Davis was good on Saturday and has improved alot since last season. Still think we'll lose 2-1 though its my birthday ... we always lose on my birthday =[
mack rill Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 With Judas still trying to sell your arse for his 30 peaces of silver. The morel in the team must be (lowe).....Pluss the law of averages Derby must win some time, 2-1 Jewell to get his fist win.
TopGun Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 With Judas still trying to sell your arse for his 30 peaces of silver. The morel in the team must be (lowe).....Pluss the law of averages Derby must win some time, 2-1 Jewell to get his fist win. Doesn't it make you all feel good that you grew up in Southampton and got your basic English straight? Poor old mack rill.
mack rill Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Doesn't it make you all feel good that you grew up in Southampton and got your basic English straight? Poor old mack rill. Correct! i should be the yard stick for all the little sh*ts who think its Cool to miss Skool:(
mack rill Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby will win, but I don't how Lowe is trying to raise money for himself. Such a retarded viewpoint you can now consider yourself a saints fan. I do not think Lowe is cashing his chips for himself. I think he could be to drastic with his cost cutting effort, If Lowe takes you to just the bear Bones to save money, And you are unlucky with 3 or 4 of your players injured Relegation could become a real issue. You would be proper f*cked then. adriansfc....i am no Saint:D.....but i do want the Derbys Back!
benjii Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 He's our best option, but not faultless. All he needed to do was put a man on the far post in the last minute against cardiff. It seemed ridiculous and was blatantly going to cost us. Sorry - it's Davies fault that they had an unchallenged header and there was no one on the post? Even Svennson himself has admitted he screwed up for that goal and James' "challenge" that lead to the freekick was dreadful. Kelvin has been one of our best 3 players this season IMO. If people think we're going to do any better in our current state then they need to wake up. Stern's miss, Svensson's ****-ups, John's lack of fitness, a poorly selected bench.... all have been much more influential on our two league defeats than anything Davis has done yet we still get mongs saying "we're going to lose because Davis is playing". Really ticks me off. You might as well say, "we're going to lose because Svennson is playing".
Pip87 Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 1-1 would be my guess but it could go any way on the day really. Should be interesting - wish I could make it
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 19 August, 2008 Posted 19 August, 2008 Derby not won a league game for ages.......... solution? play Saints the bad run busters. Derby 4 Saints 3. Late winner conceded by inexperienced poor positioning by Saints midfielder playing fullback. Looking forward to a good day out though.
