Mole Posted 12 February, 2009 Share Posted 12 February, 2009 Scored the opener today, in his first turn out for the club, in the ressie game against Hoddle's academy. Jack Boyle scored near the end to complete a 2-0 win. 1. I don't like the fact Hoddle is sniffing around. 2. I expect it was rigged so the Stevenage reject scored. westmidlandsaint Posted 12 February, 2009 Share Posted 12 February, 2009 Trialist Ronayne Marsh-Brown played on the right of Defence. OS says Wotte knows him from his time at RKC Waalwijk (where whe was signed by Martin Jol) This is the same Marsh-Brown that has been playing for Dorchester Town this season and this week walked out on the club to take up a community coaching job at Fulham. How did he get lost between Dorchester and Craven Cottage and end up at Staplewood. http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/sport/4117041.O___Donnell___s_men_show_no_mercy/ look about half way down. CB Fry Posted 12 February, 2009 Share Posted 12 February, 2009 Roll your eyes all you like, but i wouldn't put it past Lowe to rig the friendly for spin purposes, Yeah, right. Because all the dopey fans not as clever as you now think Liptak is a world beater. When you say this stuff you hero worship Lowe, because you look at him like he's the most powerful man on earth. You post something that reads like a hero worship of Lowe nearly every day. Everyone else - it is worth keeping an eye on Stanley - his admiration for the absolute power he thinks Lowe has is really fascinating. Calm down. SaintRobbie Posted 12 February, 2009 Share Posted 12 February, 2009 lets give him a chance - all signings thus far have been poor or average so heres hoping he's an unexpected diamond! Good point, lets give him a chance to prove he's useless.
Minsk Posted 12 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 12 February, 2009 plymouth have a very good player they signed from non-league..he was an electrician and now plays for a mid table CCC club.... does that mean he is SH1T...? didnt wolves sign kightley from non league too..? both of those players are better than what two team above us already had.. I didn't realise Kightley only had 2 starts in non-league football, before being dropped to the bench by the same team because they had better options, before Wolves snapped him up. I always thought he had scored something like 24 goals in 45 starts for Grays! Anyway, well done Zoltan for scoring against Glenda's 18/19 year old academy rejects in your first start in a Saints shirt today. I hope this is the start of a long and illustrius career at SMS, culminating in you lifting the Champions League trophy for us in (or before) 2020. sotonist Posted 12 February, 2009 Share Posted 12 February, 2009 Maybe we should have taken one of Glenn's defenders instead of Liptak, given that they conceded less than Ujpest.
SFC Forever Posted 12 February, 2009 Share Posted 12 February, 2009 The fact we scored with our reserves makes that a no no.
Minsk Posted 12 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 12 February, 2009 The fact we scored with our reserves makes that a no no. Errmmm, so how does that lie with our signing Zoltan? Our reserves scored 3 second half goals against Ujpest with him at the heart of their defence.
SFC Forever Posted 12 February, 2009 Share Posted 12 February, 2009 Can't take all the players we meet who let us score can we? He even managed to score for us today. Though I suppose one of theirs could always do that as well with our superb attacking style of play. At least it looks as though Lowe is preparing for the lower leagues. Minsk Posted 13 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 13 February, 2009 At least it looks as though Lowe is preparing for the lower leagues. Yep, I can hardly wait until our derby matches with Eastleigh! The problem is, I won't know who to support seeing as I was Eastleigh born and bred!! Still, I've got a couple of seasons to make up my mind - despite his best efforts!!!
SFC Forever Posted 13 February, 2009 Share Posted 13 February, 2009 If we keep dropping Eastleigh might be in the position of looking down on us. Now there's a thought. A good win over the next two games could save me a fortune in blood pressure tablets or drink or both.
SFC Forever Posted 13 February, 2009 Share Posted 13 February, 2009 Just a thought Minsk but perhaps we could ground share.
Sheff Saint Posted 13 February, 2009 Share Posted 13 February, 2009 There may well only one division between us next season! Eastleigh could be as far behind us are we are behind Wigan. That's a bit wrong.
JohnnyFartPants Posted 13 February, 2009 Share Posted 13 February, 2009 Figured it out http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11354 The best bit about that write up was the two formations used. 4-3-3 and 4-4-2. None of this 1-3-0-1-3-1-00-1 rubbish.

buctootim Posted 13 February, 2009 Share Posted 13 February, 2009 So in summary; people are slagging off a player who played well in his first game and scored a good goal. Despite being only brought in as cover for Perry and Saejis he still isnt good enough.
SFC Forever Posted 14 February, 2009 Share Posted 14 February, 2009 Sorry????? People slagging off one of our best ever buys. Never been done on here before has it. From what I and several others have said we accept that he may have had a good game this time. Whilst saying that, he was an adult supposedly fit from playing who had a run out against a team of young kids. Whilst hoping that he can do it for the first team there will be a few doubters until such time as he actually gets a game. Do you ever watch our team play? Until recently it was all about our kids being muscled out of it by older players. The kids still find it hard but with added muscle we might see an improvement. Seeing Liptak's CV is not very encouraging, so how do you expect some fans to feel. At the same time we would love to see him shine and sincerely hope that he can.
