Pancake Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Currently running the full package, but seeing as Im trying to save cash at the moment, if I canceled the subscription, would I be able to watch anything on the Sky box, or does it become useless? You will get what is known as Free Sat from Sky. You will get all the free to view channels and radio (They say about 200 channels in total but these include the foreign ones as well). The only down side is that you still have to go through all the programs to find the ones you do have. The plus side is, is that you can still use the movies on demand. Hope this helps
thesaint sfc Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 If you have sky+ and have anything recorded, you will lose it. I discovered this the hard way
Pancake Posted 5 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Cheers chaps. Thats interesting, looks like I will be ditching Sky this evening then! (after the missus has watched all the "Hills" crap she has on there!)
thesaint sfc Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I miss Road Wars Also quite miss always having The Simpsons to watch if nothing else is on! I've got a Humax box now which allows me to watch and record freeview TV. It's brilliant.
Pancake Posted 5 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Oh crap, forgot you would lose Sky1.
thesaint sfc Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I think you get Sky3 on freeview in some areas. Worth checking. It basically has everything that is on Sky1 (other than The Simpsons and a couple of others) on a few days later. Can't get it in my area though
JonnyLove Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Yeah Sky 3 is free to view. To be fair I never missed sky 1 you can always catch the shows up on line
