Hatch Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Did anyone else miss the goal because ITV went to an advert break or was it just me?
vico Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Me too. I sit through 120 minutes of crap football, for the ads to come on and miss a goal. Always thought ITV coverage was poor but this is shocking
DG Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Yep! Although a mate up in Leeds claims it came back on 10s before the goal...bastards.
Um Bongo Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 ****ing useless ITV. 120 minutes of **** football, and they **** up the only goal.
CB Fry Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 I saw the goal. I fuc king hate liverpool so it was brilliant.
bridge too far Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 ****ing useless ITV. 120 minutes of **** football, and they **** up the only goal. And they didn't even have the courtesy to apologise.
Nexstar Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 "We're sorry IF you missed the goal" Of course we bloody missed it you idiots!
Hatch Posted 4 February, 2009 Author Posted 4 February, 2009 Why was it off for so long, surely it's just flicking a switch to put it back again
SaintSparky Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Incompetence by "Chav TV for Britain" - bunch of numb-nuts. As soon as that happened I switched the radio on to hear the goal. If the FA have any balls at all (which we know they do not) they will take full payment from ITV and hand coverage straight to the BBC for the rest of the contract. Very funny that Raffa gets it up him.
Denzil Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Stupid bin dipping idiots. Why were they throwing socks on the pitch aswell?
vico Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Lol at the very first advert after the game being for BT saying something like theres nothing more frustrating then losing a connection
CB Fry Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 "We're sorry IF you missed the goal" Of course we bloody missed it you idiots! Not everyone missed it, it must have been certain TV regions that missed it, I live in the East Midlands and I saw the goal. There was a two second cut out but it came back well before the goal.
Mr saint Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Glad to see they're making up for the mistake by not showing any adverts after the programme. Just telling us we're watching quality ITV1 coverage. Brilliant.
Bushey Saint Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 The whole ITV FA Cup coverage lacks class, from the embarrassingly cliche ridden opening sequence all the way through to their second-rate punditry. Not liked ITV sports coverage since Italia 90; BBC gave us Pavarotti and Nessum Dorma, ITV gave us stone busts heading footballs!
stevegrant Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Lol at the very first advert after the game being for BT saying something like theres nothing more frustrating then losing a connection That was the advert I saw instead of the goal. What a farce.
stevegrant Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 ITV News in unintentional LOL moment: "In case you missed it, Everton beat Liverpool 1-0"
Bailey Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 BBC and Sky are miles ahead of ITV in terms of the quality of their sports coverage. Big ****-up tonight from someone behind the scenes. I feel they may be looking for a new job in the morning!
Bailey Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Lol at the very first advert after the game being for BT saying something like theres nothing more frustrating then losing a connection Oh the irony!
OldNick Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 ****ing useless ITV. 120 minutes of **** football, and they **** up the only goal.Exactly what i thought as well
Scummer Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 What were Liverpool moaning about after the goal? As I'd missed the previous minute I had no idea.
Thedelldays Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 i fell asleep...but now I have heard about this after the event..i will be writing to ofcom
stevegrant Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 i fell asleep...but now I have heard about this after the event..i will be writing to ofcom Sadly, this sort of thing doesn't fall under their remit.
OldNick Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 What were Liverpool moaning about after the goal? As I'd missed the previous minute I had no idea. that the ref had forgottten they had a divine right to win
Andy_Porter Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 I thought their FA cup highlight shows where bad enough but yesterday took the ****.
Thedelldays Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Rafa has lost the plot...the whole keane affair just sums up why they will never win the league with him in charge
Hatch Posted 5 February, 2009 Author Posted 5 February, 2009 The continual picking of that Lucas player will be Rafas downfall, not the Keane affair. My gran is a better , more intelligent player than he is.
fred kemp Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Rafa has lost the plot...the whole keane affair just sums up why they will never win the league with him in charge mm, that git laying down like he was dying, then during extra time liverpool wasting time c'os they KNEW they would win the penalties, served 'em bloody right. good ending even though we didn't see it.
fish fingers Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 The continual picking of that Lucas player will be Rafas downfall, not the Keane affair. My gran is a better , more intelligent player than he is. and Dossena, that bloke is utter ****e. any idea about the sock throwing?
Andy_Porter Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 The sock throwing was all about Everton applying to build their ground in Kirby. Apparently Kirby is a proper **** hole even by Liverpool standards and the people who live in Kirby are known for being sock robbers, they where big socks and stuff their stolen goods into the socks. http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=bffd0649121f73f9b7a00c33f816438c&topic=236371.0 Quite clever really.
Nellie Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 any idea about the sock throwing? Sky Sports News mentioned this in the morning. Everton are trying to move to a new stadium in Kirkby. Apparently the residents of Kirkby have a reputation in Liverpool of putting a pair of socks on their hands when thieving, to avoid leaving fingerprints. They were also chanting 'sock robbers' at Everton, but it's ok because the arrogant bastards got done in the end by a twice deflected goal (which we didn't get to see).
