just seen this on skysports news, but it got me thinking. The original incident went un-punished, yet the FA have decided to charge him.

Why then does Bosingwa get off with no charge at all for his blatent kick in the back? Double standards?

I think it's because the Bosingwa incident was mentioned in the ref's report and he made a conscious decision to not take any action at the time.

Or maybe not. I've just read that report.

Apparently Bosignwa got off because the incident was spotted by the officials at the time, and you can only go back and punish people retrospectively if the incident hasn't been dealt with in the game already.

mmm given that he sent off lampard for...well, nothing. makes you wonder what goes on in these guys heads. For me the Bosingwa incident was more than enough to get a minimum 3 game ban and a hefty fine, i mean, come on, a blatent kick in the back? and as for the lino..well..should have gone to spec savers spring to mind

really? oh i didnt know that. so if a player purposly attacks another, such as the bosingwa thing and the officials see it and do nothing then the fa cant then over turn the decision, yet they can over turn it when the ref messes up ala lampard sending off?

He was caught trying to shake a vending machine at his local swimming baths, 'cos he could see a loose bag of Frazzles.

I did a similar thing in Southampton train station because it wouldn't let me have my maltesers. The police came over and said that I would be arrested if I did it again for criminal damage. :(
