Mole Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 I know they're both clueless, but given a choice between the two who would you rather have as Manager (or Head Coach as Lowe has made them)? Personally i'd rather have Portvliet, as i think he's the lesser of the two evils because at least he was respected by the players. With Wotte i can see him losing the dressing room if he hasn't already lost it. Relegation was a certainty with both of them mind so perhaps it doesn't really matter which one is in charge. If only Lowe could have put SFC before his own ego and abandoned this ridiculous Dutch experiment, but sadly i think the boat has been missed and he'll be taking us down another division.
Thedelldays Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 how the hell can you make such comparison after 3 games..? all in all..your post is just another dig at lowe (not saying that is wrong before you call me a luvvie)..just how many ways and posts do you start daily on the same thing..?
Legod Third Coming Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 As a bloke I liked Jan immensely. But that's like asking who you would prefer to be castrated by.
Micky Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 TDD is right - you're just looking for yet another cheap shot a Lowe...! (Call me a Lowe Luvvie all you like - couldn't give a toss tbh). Fairly obviously most fans on here have realised that the Dutch experiment has now failed miserably and are pretty hacked off with Total Football. Don't really want to judge anybody after 3 games, but after last nights fiasco - let's just say that it aint a great start. Which one do I want - I care not - I fear the end result would of (will) be the same no matter which one is here. See you all in League 1.
ottery st mary Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Wotte has NOT just had 3 games...Both useless at Managing/coaching in fact I include Useless Rupert in the Useless 3 Brigade....Not good enough.
team-saint Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 jan because wotte is basically lowe's buddy saying what lowe wants him to say at least with jan he was his own man and if he did truly resign then you would think it was because of our **** of a chairman lowe interfering
NickG Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 I thought Wotte after Saturday, as the team seemed more motivated. Yesterday was gutting, but won't judge after seeing two games of his. Saeijs said the team was too relaxed under Jan and training is harder and more disciplined - bit early to see if this will have the desired effect. Jan failed, so Wotte on the basis that the jury is still out
JustMike Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 neither. can we please have someone that knows english football, and especially this league
SaintRobbie Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 I'd rather have Lowe on the touch line. We'd get the same decisions and save afew quid in the process.
L1Minus10 Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 I'll answer it.. Wotte. Poortvliet was as bad, if not worse than Wigley. Wotte has a lot more about him. We're still ****ed mind...
Ponty Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 That's like asking Lowe or Wilde. Why? What would they say? Wotte, I suppose.
Legod Third Coming Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Why? What would they say? Wotte, I suppose. lol very droll
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Poortvliet or Wotte Toothache or a kick in the ****** ? What a shyte question, they are both equally toss, and should both fook off back to the land of edam and windmills.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Poortvliet or Wotte Toothache or a kick in the ****** ? What a shyte question, they are both equally toss, and should both fook off back to the land of edam and windmills. Definately agree with Windmill.
Oz Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 like asking...lowe or manderic.. mandaric, every time
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Shot or Stabbed ?........is the first thing that springs to mind but as already posted how can we make a comparison after so few games IN CHARGE.
The Worm Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 like asking...lowe or manderic.. i would bite your hand of for Manderic
Wes Tender Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 None of the above. A competent British manager with an understanding of British football at this level, please.
Wes Tender Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 like asking...lowe or manderic.. Mandaric please, especially if it involved getting back Pearson too.
lordswoodsaints Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 you cant really make a comparison between the 2 after wotte has only had 3 games but what i do know is that before he was appointed wotte was a bit of a joke figure amongst the players and wasnt really respected............now they have to look up to him and treat him as the 'gaffer' i dont expect this is going down too well with the players and i suspect wotte has a few axes to grind with a few of them.
treggs23 Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Both as bad as each other, but having read Wotte's comments on BBC about the fans not being very loud Tuesday I get the impression that he is trying to shift all blame away from himself...coupled with how he took the job I think he's a pretty sly man...
Thedelldays Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Mandaric please, especially if it involved getting back Pearson too. skate lets go the whole way and welcome arry back with loving open arms
Topcat Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Wotte (from the Echo) "We need to win lots of matches" No s*** sherlock. Wot more brilliant insights is the man going to deliver?
AussieDog Posted 6 February, 2009 Posted 6 February, 2009 Wotte's comments so far appear to be aleniating the fans, although I am sure all would be forgiven if the team went through the rest of the season unbeaten! At the moment he is coming across as if he has no respect for the fans, or for what the fans have had to be put up with for the past 5 years. Whether or not he has the players respect....well that remains to be seen. To me the appointment smacks of the whole Gorman & Dodd affair last season - let's put the cheap option in and hope it works. Last season we at least had the players to get us out of the mess with the right motivator. This year I fear we have neither the right players or the ability to attract a Manager who can get the players to perform to their potential. To be honest...would YOU take the job of working for Lowe? If he stays you know he can't be trusted...if he goes, you are likely to be kicked out the door with him. What a poisoned chalice...
Saint Bones Posted 6 February, 2009 Posted 6 February, 2009 Umm..... very stupid thread Why choose ? we have had to endure both of them regardless.
SaintRobbie Posted 6 February, 2009 Posted 6 February, 2009 Neither. Yep. No Lowe, No Dutch sycophants. I'd rather the team ran themselves. Put Wotton in charge. We'd still get the same results...and save money.
SP Saint Posted 6 February, 2009 Posted 6 February, 2009 Portvliet or Wotte? Easy, Nigel Pearson or Billy Davies are both the right answer. What do I win?
