La BoIS Saint Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I looked at Leicester's prices as they have a similar stadium, same division etc. For renewals "Chapel" & "Northam" are £322, up to £498 for central "Itchen". Although thinking about it they are probably banking on being in the Championship. http://www.lcfc.com/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10274,00.html
La BoIS Saint Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 By my reckoning we'd need 6,666 adults at £300 to make £2m then. I assume they'd all eason And what is the current number of tickets sold ? None I assume.
Torbay Saint Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I would consider a season ticket next year if the price was reasonable.
Chez Posted 5 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 5 February, 2009 By my reckoning we'd need 6,666 adults at £300 to make £2m then. I assume they'd all have to be paying upfront too & not by the pay monthly plan. In other words 2/3's of our existing season ticket holders need to renew at £300 to avoid defaulting on the mortgage. It could be a very close run thing.

Once you have lost fans it is very very difficult to get them back even at lower prices.
Window Cleaner Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 (edited) By my reckoning we'd need 6,666 adults at £300 to make £2m then. I assume they'd all eason And what is the current number of tickets sold ? Nope, as per usual in that sort of calculation you've forgotten to take out the VAT. If the £300 includes VAT you'd need 7843 tickets to make up the £2 million. Edited 5 February, 2009 by Window Cleaner
labibs Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I live in Cardiff at the mo, so don't have an ST. I'm looking at moving back to Southampton in the summer, largely dependent on securing a job in the current market! If ST's were priced at £300, I'd definitely get one at just over £13 a game, that's pretty good value. If it was £350 then you're looking at £15 a game, which is a little less attractive, considering it is unlikely I would make every single home game. To be honest I would like to know what the individual match prices are likely to be. Surely they are going to have to come down a bit. I can't see many people paying way over £20 for League 1 football. Maybe for games against the likes of Leeds, but not many.
1976_Child Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 completely depends on which league we are in. Why should we have to stump up the same amount as this year in a lower league? As for ticket prices in div three they should be no more than £18 quid. Even that is a push.
