hamster Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 don't really follow the trading side of things, but they are edging towards 30,000 changing hands this morning. Is this normal, or significant? http://www.londonstockexchange.com/en-gb/pricesnews/prices/system/detailedprices.htm?sym=GB0007922114GBGBXAIMI0792211SOO And is 15p an all time low? Window Cleaner Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 Not significant - about £5k in value terms. 15p is a 5 year low. The only share sales which will be significant are ones that cover 500K or more shares. The rest is just some minor shareholder panicking and selling up. I would take a guess and say all the shares currently being sold come from on of 2 sources. The rest left to Singh or those bought for a kings ransom by Unicol Engineering for whatever purpose. trousers Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 (edited) Why are almost all 5 figure trades round numbers....? Surely if it was a minor shareholder the numbers would be more 'random'? Edited 16 February, 2009 by trousers

trousers Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 Hmmm.....share price now down 1.25p today....or, more significantly -7.14%. Biggest one day drop I've seen during 'normal trading' (i.e. excluding those times when we've just come out of a 'bid situation' status) http://www.londonstockexchange.com/en-gb/pricesnews/prices/system/detailedprices.htm?sym=GB0007922114GBGBXAIMI0792211SOO

WealdSaint Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 I have a feeling that all these trade we see are the same very small percentage (say 2%) of the shares being passed round & round & round again. The bulk of share haven't changed owner at all. Rupert (I guess) is still advising all his share holding mates to hang on as he'll tell them when is a good time to sell and is promising them that the club will not go into admin. My gut feeling is that Rupert will not put the club into admin unless there is no alternative. If he does so and looses all his "chums" money for them he will lose face & business contacts big time. If the club does go into admin it will be interesting where Rupert will put the blame, my guess will be the previous regime/s (conveniently forgetting that his "mate" Wilde was responsible for setting the most destructive regime in place). WokingSaint Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 My view is that you could buy the entire Issued Capital for c £2.5 Mil at today's prices (assuming they would be available at that price) . We do not need to pay off the Stadium Loan (c£20 mil) as long as repayments are maintained and the Bank would be very happy for the overdraft to be reduced by 50%. Therefore, an investment of £16mil - £20mil buys a very good club and leaves a substantial amount to invest in players. I am beggining to save up - anyone willing to join me? Lol.....this reminds me of my get rich quick scheme of many years ago. The plan was....find a million people, they give me a pound (I'm a millonaire), and I start making interest from the bank. Then the next day, give no2 a pound (then he's a miilionare), next day so on and so on. Tough on the person one millionth in line, but hey, it was my idea;)

mulletsaint Posted 16 February, 2009 Share Posted 16 February, 2009 Looks like a certain ex-Spurs player was actually on the south coast looking at purchasing another club… http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1146041/Former-Tottenham-defender-Ramon-Vega-spurred-Pompey-bid.html As a footnote, I'd like to state that I'm not a Mail reader, found the link on the bbc website.
