Mr X Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 potentially we could still be under Lowes reign of terror next season in league 1. shirley not
Mole Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Don't. The thought of him and Judas Wilde still being at the club next season is soul destroying.
Mr X Posted 3 February, 2009 Author Posted 3 February, 2009 Don't. The thought of him and Judas Wilde still being at the club next season is soul destroying. Its a very real possibility though imo
Micky Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 He'll be here, and no doubt we will be in the mire in that league too.
St Landrew Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 He'll be there, planning for League 2.. And don't forget, budgeting for League 2, as well. That mentality has got us where we are today. We're doing well on it. You reap what you sow..!
docker-p Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Will anybody else be at SMS next season if Lowe/Wilde are is the question.
SaintRobbie Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Yes. He's going to buy the club for a snip upon administration. It has to have been his plan all along - that or he really is that bad as a chairman.
Mr X Posted 3 February, 2009 Author Posted 3 February, 2009 You just know that when we go down Lowe is going to blame this all on the failings of the previous board who had done too much damage to the club for his lordship to repair.

Of course he will, and his nodding dog sidekick won't even acknowledge that he appointed the execs before he bottled it. It'll be neither of their faults.

It'll be neither of their faults. It pains me to say it but don't think I can face attending next season if Lowe and Wilde are still here.
Bailey Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 For what it's worth, Lowe looked genuinely concerned after our defeat tonight. Surprising I know.
Mr X Posted 3 February, 2009 Author Posted 3 February, 2009 For what it's worth, Lowe looked genuinely concerned after our defeat tonight. Surprising I know. Concerned for his life(surely theres a contract out on him by now) and his shares though, not concern for what the fans are going through
CLOTH EARS Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Lowe will be at this club untill the administrators are called in. He is far too arrogant to even consider resigning. I know administration would be bad for the club BUT the one good thing it would do is render his shares worthless. Should he manage to wingle his way back in post administration, then we should all go and either form a new club and start in the Wessex league or do what i'm doing now and start supporting the mighty AFC Totton!!!
Mole Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 For what it's worth, Lowe looked genuinely concerned after our defeat tonight. Surprising I know. The share price is all Lowe cares about. Such a shame it's falling all the time.
spain saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 For what it's worth, Lowe looked genuinely concerned after our defeat tonight. Surprising I know. Concerned wether his car would start after all the bad weather you are having maybe?
Sheff Saint Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 And don't forget, budgeting for League 2, as well. That mentality has got us where we are today. We're doing well on it. You reap what you sow..! Here is the major problem that will not leave until Lowe does. Even if he somehow masterminds a recovery this season and promotion next season, we'll never be able to establish ourselves again under his stewerdship. He's not trotted anything out about us 'Not doing a Leeds' for a while...
broncoboy Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Lowe will still be around until he is bought out or someone else out bids him when the club is in administration. Any good business man would realise that he doesnt have the support of his customers and resign. He must realise it is getting to the end of the line One win at home in sixteen matches. Rupert Lowes "Total Football Revolution" "He must be in danger of violent attack Mrs Lowe" If he is around next season the ground will be empty
saint1977 Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 If he is, I'm not. Even I've had enough of his pathetic decisions and I'm one of the silly idiots that's kept going this season.
Katalinic Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Aren't season ticket renewals out soon - can't wait to see how they spin that one - mine will be going back unopened and marked "return to sender until Lowe and Co. go".
Hamwic Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Undoubtedly he will. For years he has talked about "taking the club to the next level" and he seems to be succeeding. Once in League 1 no doubt the next level will be League 2 and so on. As for why, I can't imagine. Perhaps it's a case of I've started so I'll finish".
SaintRichmond Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 I fear both Lowe and Wilde will still be here next season .... as Owners of a Div 1 Team
bristolsaint29 Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 I've just discovered this anagram Southampton chairman rupert lowe = Rich moron **** he's unpopular mate.
L1Minus10 Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Impossible to predict as there are too many "maybes" involved. Personally, I can't see him remaining if we go down.. even his cabal of shareholders would have to question their sanity to back him any longer. We may go into admin which would weaken his position further as I can;t see an administrator thinking he's the best option to run the club. Bates got away with this at Leeds as a vast vast majority of the damage was done by Ridsdale... Lowe is never going to be able to convince an Administrator that the damage was done by Crouch in his 5 months.

SimonRichards Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 potentially we could still be under Lowes reign of terror next season in league 1. shirley not  If he is I won't be.
the big red & white 1 Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Yes. He's going to buy the club for a snip upon administration. It has to have been his plan all along - that or he really is that bad as a chairman. totally agree, he and wilde had it planned right from the start. why do you think lowe never left this club alone. theres money to be made, sfc is there cash cow. i for 1 will not renew my season ticket while he & wilde has any connection to sfc.
CB Fry Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 He might own shares still, but he'll be gone from the front line. For one Wilde will turn tail and hang him out to dry and probably end up back in bed with Crouch. He's not the Terminator T1000, he's just a tw at with a suit. He won't hang around for re-promotion this time.
Dark Munster Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 You just know that when we go down Lowe is going to blame this all on the failings of the previous board who had done too much damage to the club for his lordship to repair. Exactly what I've been predicting. And he'll add that there is no evidence that Pearson would've done a better job than his "revolutionary coaching set up".
dubai_phil Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Interesting concept. We go into Admin, the shares are worthless, HOPEFULLY a new company SFC 2009 is formed so the old shares are dead, AS WELL AS THE PROXIES by which he gained control in the first place. Anything not nailed down will be flogged at the car boot sale and this year's U-16 team will start the first game next season in L1. But Lowe won't have the 3 or 4 million to pay Krasner's fees let alone buy the club back and somehow I don't think his buddies will be too pleased he lost them all their money, so yes, he will be gone, maybe in the next couple of weeks if you believe that article in the media.
dickyhale Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Yes. He's going to buy the club for a snip upon administration. It has to have been his plan all along - that or he really is that bad as a chairman. Think Leon will have a big say on administration as Lowe and Jelly fish could not match his 2 million. Lowe and Jelly fish all flash NO cash
Snowballs2 Posted 5 February, 2009 Posted 5 February, 2009 Out of the 3 amigos Crouch is the only one with enough financial resources to buy from administration...unless Lowe approaches some rich friends. My view is thata surprise buyer, unconnected currently as a shareholder will step in and buy at administration.
