Ponty Posted 3 February, 2009 Author Posted 3 February, 2009 It's not gonna be. Do we give merit for the chances and the effort?
brmbrm Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 ****** poor. Lowe out, Wotte out. 13,000? Fukcing joke. Lowe out and i'll be back but this is just a joke. Total joke. Absolute total joke FFS.
Saint_clark Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 As soon as we equalised I knew we should have settled for the draw. I said to myself that if we went for the win, we would end up conceding again.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Do you know what, I think this was just one of those games. Holloway looks ****ing gutted for us, he really does. If we can play like that for the rest of the season, be it against 10 men or not, we MAY be alright.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Expected, totally and utterly expected.
SaintBobby Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Relegation now close to certain and entirely deserved.
Yate Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Well losing like that will do no good for players confidence. Need to beat Watford now otherwise I think us and Charlton will be playing in League One next season. I bet i know which team out the two will come straight back up too. Poor, poor, poor. We simply aint good enough for this division.
spain saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Just not good enough! We play the whole second half to get back into it and then lose in the last minute!! pathetic really pathetic:smt022
St Lightjaw Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Can't win em all I suppose. Anyway, 2 points from 9 under Wotte. We are going up!!
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 3 points behind Donny and they have 2 games in hand!! So BYE BYE SAINTS! i think!!!!!
TopGun Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Lowe, Wilde & Wotte should accept the blame that is theirs to take and show some humility. Shameful. At least they will have the ongoing legacy for being known forever as the muppets who dragged Saints to the lowest point in living memory. Selfish bastards.
Gemmel Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Do you know what, I think this was just one of those games. Holloway looks ****ing gutted for us, he really does. If we can play like that for the rest of the season, be it against 10 men or not, we MAY be alright. That's exactly what i thought, but just had a match report from someone at the game, who thought we were very average although their winner, was supposed to be just a class goal - nobodys fault
Mr X Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Do you know what, I think this was just one of those games. Holloway looks ****ing gutted for us, he really does. If we can play like that for the rest of the season, be it against 10 men or not, we MAY be alright. Huh? Solent said it was one of our poorest performances
saints-cris Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 There are some games over the season when your struggling that you'll look back on and it could turn it around for you. I fear this might be that game just like it was V Everton, Middlesborough when we got relegated. On the other hand, it sounded like we totally deserved the win and maybe just got hellishly unlucky. I normally expect us to lose in the dieing seconds, but for some strange reason I was really surprised when that went in. Gutted.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Awful result, but sounds like we didn't deserve any more? Be interested to hear from those at the game. F*ck me I was feeling depressed with another draw. Oh well, all the more likely we will win away at watford, just to confound all expectations [ or will that be a draw?]
badgerx16 Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 By my reckoning: Norwich P 31 Pts 32 GD -7 Derby P 29 Pts 32 GD -11 Barnsley P 30 Pts 32 GD -12 Donny P29 Pts 31 GD -12 Watford P 30 Pts 30 GD -11 Saints P 31 Pts 28 GD -19 Charlton P 31 Pts 22 GD -23 At least 8 of our remaining games are away
ottery st mary Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Oh! The very BAD luck continues..Its just not fair OR.... we are just RUBBISH and not even geared up to compete in the lower leagues over the next couple of seasons. Amateur set up with amateur Directors with TOTALLY amateur Head Coach.
Rational Rich Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Do you know what, I think this was just one of those games. Holloway looks ****ing gutted for us, he really does. If we can play like that for the rest of the season, be it against 10 men or not, we MAY be alright. But we've been saying that after pretty much every game this season. I thought before tonight that given time we'd get out of it, but today was like Everton or Villa or WBA away last time we went down. I actually feel a lot less stressed about things now I've resigned myself to it. It's the hope that kills you. I've never really been anti or pro lowe, mainly as I don't particularly like him but couldn't see a viable alternative (especially after being taken in by the hope of Wilde a couple of years ago) and also, I get bored by the boardroom politics (I'm a football fan not a businessman fan), however he is so divisive and has caused so many people to desert us in our hour of need that it's time for a change, even if it is to Crouch and there is no more money. We need something to galvanise the club and the fans and, short of Paul Allen sailing up Southampton Water tomorrow, Lowe stepping down might be the only option.

Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Huh? Solent said it was one of our poorest performances Hmmm, not from what Holloway was saying or the commentators on Radio Sheffield. How strange.
beatlesaint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 We are going down Unfortunately i think we can take that as read.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Oh! The very BAD luck continues..Its just not fair OR.... we are just RUBBISH and not even geared up to compete in the lower leagues over the next couple of seasons. Amateur set up with amateur Directors with TOTALLY amateur Head Coach. Well you can't judge them all on one result.....but a trend is emerging, and it's relegation form
ottery st mary Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Lowe, Wilde & Wotte should accept the blame that is theirs to take and show some humility. Shameful. At least they will have the ongoing legacy for being known forever as the muppets who dragged Saints to the lowest point in living memory. Selfish bastards. The terrible trio should have walked with JP but then again the whole lot should have walked at xmas. Rubbish team and a rubbish set up. :smt022:smt022:smt022
Edmonton Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 On the long and winding road straight to league 1 and beyond
egreog Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Just put the club into administration and take the medicine........the pattern is so predictable.........what will the OS come out with?. Wotte come out with?.........the poor lackey that is posted to the OS come out with?........its all so very obvious and sad...........the whole thing remains rotten with no hope of progress in the current scenario..........sooner the creditors realise it the better for everyone
trousers Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Are Norwich still 2-1 up? (sorry, forum a tad slow this end)
Thedelldays Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 hmmm same start as what pearson had...rubbish
St Lightjaw Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Hmmm, not from what Holloway was saying or the commentators on Radio Sheffield. How strange. It is. Holloway is pure class ... can't understand it myself either
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 But we've been saying that after pretty much every game this season. I thought before tonight that given time we'd get out of it, but today was like Everton or Villa or WBA away last time we went down. I actually feel a lot less stressed about things now I've resigned myself to it. It's the hope that kills you. We need something to galvanise the club and the fans and, short of Paul Allen sailing up Southampton Water tomorrow, Lowe stepping down might be the only option. Do people think Charlton are having the same problem with their chairman? Literally just wondering.
AwaySaint1 Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Oh! The very BAD luck continues..Its just not fair OR.... we are just RUBBISH and not even geared up to compete in the lower leagues over the next couple of seasons. Amateur set up with amateur Directors with TOTALLY amateur Head Coach. Dont forget the Amateur fans.
trousers Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Just put the club into administration and take the medicine........the pattern is so predictable.........what will the OS come out with?. Wotte come out with?.........the poor lackey that is posted to the OS come out with?........its all so very obvious and sad...........the whole thing remains rotten with no hope of progress in the current scenario..........sooner the creditors realise it the better for everyone What he said. We need to take the 10 point hit NOW!!!
beatlesaint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Hmmm, not from what Holloway was saying or the commentators on Radio Sheffield. How strange. He did also say he was very concerned for us and that the problem was obvious - we lack experience !! Ok sounds like we had a fair few chances late on but they did have 10 men after all !
Doctoroncall Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 We just cannot create those clear cut chances...getting behind the defensive line at home. It was always going to be hard to cut through teams organised to defend and counter attack. I cannot see where the home wins will come from.
alpine_saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 FFS, what happened NOW ?? I had to follow the game by WAP (my yougest son is ill in bed), and last I looked Surman had scored on 90mins. Game over I though, another unappetizing draw. Did we lose ? FFS. This club is a JOKE.
The Tango Man Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 This is another black day in the history of our once great club..Lowe and all his chums have to go..and Woote as well. We are going down for sure and I am going to throw myself of a chair !!!!
channonwindmill Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Fukcing joke. Lowe out and i'll be back but this is just a joke. Total joke. Absolute total joke FFS. Just to clarify - do you think this is a joke or not?
Sheff Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Radio Sheff thought we deserved the point when we equalised. It is bleak, but we've been further adrift in past relegation battles. Plus we've got two away games coming up!!! Keep the faith, it's all we've got!
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 It is. Holloway is pure class ... can't understand it myself either I think Solent and our fans are (and not surprisingly) our biggest critics, and this will sometimes cloud judgement. Either way, I'm pretty gutted right now. Was Holloway not at the game Saturday? I'd take him as manager to be fair.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 listened to game on radio sheffield,we sounded ok,and deserved to equalise but why oh why cant we hold out, same old saints.have to get something at watford or i think that is our fate sealed.well done rupert.coyr
