That's the killer for a lot of people ...... it may be OK near the ground, but B roads and the like are treacherous

Well thought out by the FA

I shudder to think of the mileage Lowe will make out of the low turn out of his Customers

Yep they knew last June that we would have shed loads of snow at the beginning of Feb this year

its snowing quite heavily up in Salisbury and so if it keeps up that will stop a few travelling down.

RUBBISH - it NEVER snows in Salisbury FACT!

(Ok well once in '63 and once in '82)

Meanwhile

15,976 will be the attendance tonight

Meanwhile there will likely be about 8-10,000 in the ground.

The Red Cross has asked anyone in the Chapel End to check the one person in the row in front every 20 minutes to ensure they didn't die of hypothermia being all on their own

Well I think I can safely say that no-one gave a rat's arse about your sunburn Phil.

All too busy worrying about their own frostbite and chilblains.

Of course I knew that.:p

In fact been checking with my mum regularly up in Salisbury

It's a way of consoling myself. The good news - I have to do a trip back to the UK which covers a Staurday - Tuesday Hooray.

The bad news - it's next bl**dy week so I can't make it to the away game Boo.

After this one, nothing planned for the rest of the season as my new co gets up and running so I prob won't see another CCC game at SMS

Meanwhile - did I tell you about the golf at the weekend? McIlroys dad's a nice guy and good ole Darren Clarke stands his round at the bar....:smt048

Oh and BTW just in case you were worried, my sunburn from the Golf here at the weekend has settled down nicely now thankyou

I wasn't worried Phil, to be honest, but thanks for thinking of us. I had steak and kidney pie and chips for lunch down by Southampton Water. Now I'm about to set off into town to have a football burger with loads of onions and then I'm going to watch a real game of traditional english football played on a soggy pitch on a Tuesday night under winter floodlights. Now who's jealous?

You could take in the Jersey friendly next Monday.

Might not be too cold in the old Lyonesse Islands mid February.

hmmmmmmmm

That is a big assumption that we still have a club next week

the alternative is night out on the razz with some mates in Bournemouth on a Monday

Flybe it is then, but won't book for a couple of days just in case

OMFG! You reckon on it being a lower attendance than them Knuckle dragging Skates :D........oh stuey,,,Get a load of this!:smt047

You're playing in the Premiership, aren't you? We're a relegation threatened Championship side. Surely you should be EXPECTING to get higher crowds than us.

It would have been 2 more but my mate and I aborted on Pepperbox Hill between Salisbury & Southampton. Cars and lorries were becoming stuck on the slopes on both sides and the snow was settling. Goodness knows what it will be like for the poor fans on their way home. We advised our mates who drove down earlier to catch the train home. Should this have been called off yesterday or earlier today? I think so and the size of the crowd will probably reflect that. People do travel far and wide to watch Saints and I think a lot of people wont have even attempted the journey to St Marys.

they must have lost a lot of customers and goodwill tonight.

A lot of people with STs and tix will not have gone , or turned back.

Arsenal made the right decision yesterday.

This is not about being soft, its about good sense when a lot of people have to come a long way (and spend a lot of money).

A bad nights work all round.

(Glad i didn't even set out, as i too would have got caught on pepperbox, and thats the GOOD route from where I live)

Thanks for that, Bourne Valley Saint. Seems like I made the right decision and I wasn't being a whimp, as some on here seemed to imply!

first time I have ever not attended due to weather issues.

I really did think I might not get back to Winterslow after the game.

No doubt us Winterslowers and you Bourne Valleyers will be back in strength for the next game!!

Perhaps we will see a second home win before the season ends.
