I only think Lallana and Surman would have gone if mega wonga was offered, as I imagine their wages are not much of a concern. I can understand the logic of letting them go if we got a huge fee in the january window, but there isn't much sense in letting them go on loan just to save a couple of mid ranking wages.

 

I would have thought the players we will be looking to offload in the loan window will be the high earners - Skacel, Euell, dare I say Saga etc.
