Nexstar Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Final decision at noon - http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11320 Yeah, has to be really to be fair to the sheff utd fans.
ludgershallsaint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 They need to call it off then. There are plenty of things that could happen between 1200 and 745 that cause it to be postponed later.
Greenridge Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 I'd be surprised if this goes ahead with the existing and forecast conditions.
The Saturday Boy Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 I'd be surprised if this goes ahead with the existing and forecast conditions. Yep, the forecast is for more heavy snow later - http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/se/southampton_forecast_weather.html
Um Bongo Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Yep, the forecast is for more heavy snow later - http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/se/southampton_forecast_weather.html Although, the sun is now out and the snow is melting. Don't think it will settle this evening as its going to be about 4 degrees. Hard for the club to decide.
aintforever Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 There's nothing wrong with playing footie in snow - you just use an orange ball, didn't Matt Le Tiss bang in a hatrick against Liverpool when it was ****ing it down? It's **** easy to drive in it as well, this country is full of pussys, just get on with the game FFS.

Sure did...it was bl**dy cold that night if I remember rightly. It was valantines night & Matty scorred after about 30seconds & even more amazingly Craig Maskell scored I remember it was so cold a pipe burst above the East stand terrace showering everyone with cold water :smt088

I don't have a problem driving in inclement weather or watching the game in snow, more to do with driving to a game that has been postponed (Palace a few seasons ago) after making the journey. I'd prefer to know before hand whether the game is on or not.
Wade Garrett Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Doesn't look that bad at the moment. And any snow this afternoon won't lay. Should be OK.
saints_is_the_south Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 snowing quite heavily in Totton now.,
SaintKenny Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Sheff Utd - Match On! Saints have been given the go-ahead for tonight's match to go ahead as planned...(19:45 Kick-off)

Weston Saint Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Raining quite heavilly in Southampton (with a little sleet mixed in) at the moment

We were 4-0 up I think, the orange ball put Liverpool on the front foot though.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 3 February, 2009 Posted 3 February, 2009 Raining quite heavilly in Southampton (with a little sleet mixed in) at the moment Christ 5 miles north and it is an absolute blizzard - can't see 5 yards in front of my face here in Otterbourne.
