hamster Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 I am off today, as are Grandsons now, where near to Southampton is the best hill for sledging please?
Ponty Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 St Catherine's Hill, the Shawford Downs and round that area used to be great. For all I know it's a housing estate now though.
Golden Balls Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 Dell Road in Bitterne Park! Don't fall off there though...you will die!
hamster Posted 2 February, 2009 Author Posted 2 February, 2009 Dell Road in Bitterne Park! Don't fall off there though...you will die! It's a road though GB, with cars I believe? I need a grassy hill.
Um Bongo Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 Witts Hill has been closed by Police. That would be good. Althought you would probably have the sledge stolen from you. Hatch Mead - West End?
Golden Balls Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 It's a road though GB, with cars I believe? I need a grassy hill. Well it would be impossible to get a car up it. And someone would have to be crazy to try and go down it in a car! I went down it on a big bit of cardboard when I was about 14...great fun!
hamster Posted 2 February, 2009 Author Posted 2 February, 2009 Sheet, they're Mum is insisting on taking them to school. Mean IMO. I just got through to the school in the vain hope that they are closed, but again a mean lady told me they are open as ususal. That's the trouble IMO, As Usual!!! This isn't USUAL, they have never seen it this good before, and theyre's a good chance that they may not see it this good again in they're childhood.. Kids should be out with they're Grandads enjoying it, making snowmen in the image of Rupert Lowe (and knocking they're heads off), sledging, snowball fights and freezing they're little mittens off. Snow IS educational IMO, and should be on the curriculum. I can't go sledging on my own can I? I'd be mistaken for a weirdo.

Just tell the kids its closed, and tell the school they cant make it in...I havent seen snow this good in about 15 years!
hamster Posted 2 February, 2009 Author Posted 2 February, 2009 They've already left, but I am hoping now that they can't get onto the M27 and turn tail. On the plus side, they go to school in Whiteley, so will be able to 'snowball' some skate kids Mods, can we habve a poll please? Snow Good or Snow Bad? I really do 100% absolutely love it. I WILL NOT BE GOING TO WORK TODAY. FACT

Jillyanne Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 Snow sucks, its cold, its wet, it ruins everything. Miserable sod.
Benj540 Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 Miserable sod. Well thing is I could be in work doing something productive instead I'm at home. Bored since I cannot go out to do anything and who the F##K honestly wants to see council estate families fight on Jeremy Kyle?
hamster Posted 2 February, 2009 Author Posted 2 February, 2009 5 yes votes so far, at this rate there will be more people interested in a snowball fight than there are for that **** football at Fleming Park. Sticky perhaps?

St Landrew Posted 2 February, 2009 Posted 2 February, 2009 Couple of decent slopes at the sports centre. There are indeed. Three times, in living memory, the snow has fallen heavily enough, while I've lived near the Sports Centre, and I used the slopes there. Of course, the Ski Slope will be super fast, at present.
