It will be very difficult to rush players around the country for that all important medical. Isn't Southampton airport closed as well? It was earlier f'sure. Probably scuppered our plans of flying Kaka in for a medical  No way should they extend the window because of the weather, it would damn well serve all those greedy gits who were holding out for huge contracts or the parasitic clubs who were holding out till the last minute knowing clubs like ours are desperate for money and make insulting offers which they know will be taken if the club is desperate enough. They've had a whole month and it has already been extended till today because of the weekend. Sod em all I say (unless it means we get a world beater from a bankrupt club for peanuts )
OldNick Posted 2 February, 2009 Share Posted 2 February, 2009 Do you not realise we have no money because we spent too much money in previous seasons And Forest boss Billy Davies has now moved to snatch Jones in a reported £600,000 deal. Im gla we are not in for him as he would have chosen colchester instead of us

Saint Fan CaM Posted 2 February, 2009 Share Posted 2 February, 2009 Is Lowe back from holiday? If not, then surely NOTHING will be happening on the transfer in front - it will just be pre-agreed departures to be announced, if indeed they work their way through before the window closes. Someone on here said that Waals was not around now and anyway, he's just a consultant - hardly able to make financial decisions regarding fees and salaries etc. I would have thought. I think we can expect very little - certainly nothing to get excited about. Our biggest issue at the moment is whether Molyneax gets more than a one match ban (as that would take Surman out of the midfield equation for awhile). derry Posted 2 February, 2009 Share Posted 2 February, 2009 as am i.................possibly loaned back until the end of the season though. Why would we want him the way he is playing? Who in their right mind would pay £2.5m? Nobody is going to waste money on a player that is unproven potential, that would take loans and two or three seasons to bring through. DT Posted 2 February, 2009 Share Posted 2 February, 2009 I see Stoke are continuing their quest to turn into us. Not content with Delap, Higginbotham, Fuller, and Beattie, they have signed Camara on loan. Interesting watching them against City with Bridger on the pitch too, and managed by Hughes. Groundhog! I reckon Surman or Lallana will push it to the wire. None incoming. Some old prattle about loans. End of story.

He will be playing in the Championship (where we know he is good) for one of our relegation rivals... absolutely. Slightly worrying seeing Norwich signing these players, we need every side at the bottom to keep on struggling as we don't look like we are going to win 2 or 3 on the bounce. david in sweden Posted 2 February, 2009 Share Posted 2 February, 2009 sorry whos this for ? Apparantly the FA has granted extensions to final deadline signings due to the weather delaying actual signings, IF the clubs can prove they both agreed terms BEFORE 5 pm, but that the final details, medicals, signed contracts etc. aren't actually registered by that time. The twenty-nine year old has found the net 13 times for the Daggers this season. Saints are also in talks with Darlington's versatile defender, Clayton Fortune, after agreeing an undisclosed fee with the Quakers yesterday evening. Why sign inexperienced players ffs!
