landford.saint Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Saturday 14:55 hrs on the Northam stand two banners went up, with anti Lowe comments. Two stewards quickly ascended and tried to seize the banners, which were quickly 'lost' amongst the fans on the Northam. I spoke to a steward and he said they had orders to consficate any banners or protests mentioning 'LOWE'. Under what peice of current legislation can a banner be seized because it contains the word LOWE. I realise that we are in a private premises so certain conditions can be designated by the owners of those premises. Praise to the fans yesterday for their constant support of the team for the full 90 mins. and the way when a subdued anti lowe song started it was quickly swamped with a round of OWTS.
hypochondriac Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 We should make thousands of cards with Lowe Out on them and hold them up during the game.

They have no right as long as it is not offensive or insulting.
Delmary Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 We should make thousands of cards with Lowe Out on them and hold them up during the game.Yes but only before kick-off. Not during the game.

Rupert`s "I`m the boss here and everyone will do as they are told" legislation As "i don`t deserve any critisism as i have never done anything wrong"
Golden Balls Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Get them out for the next game and block the stairs with fans...

JustMike Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 i too asked a steward this question as the guys with the banners were right behind me, steward said that the board had told them to take away any items that werent football related.
bridge too far Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 i too asked a steward this question as the guys with the banners were right behind me, steward said that the board had told them to take away any items that werent football related. Oh the splendid irony We've known for a long, long time that 'Lowe' shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as 'football'.
VectisSaint Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 So is : "F*CK OFF RUPERT" OK then ? No, its too tame Fact is SFC can do what they want inside SMS, it is private property and no-one has any right to be inside the ground at any time except under the terms and conditions of entry. Rupes has made it clear on many occassions that having supporters in the ground is not what he wants. he doesn't care if anyone comes to the games or not, and clearly does all he can to minimise disturbances caused by supporters. Thats why we're in the sorry state we are.
um pahars Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 the board had told them to take away any items that werent football related. Hopefully, there will come a time when Lowe will not be football related;)

Lol......draw a football on them;);). Here's a novel idea, sure to give those bl**dy stewards something else to moan about................Write your messages on a tennis ball, then at half time, bung them on the pitch.
