Viking Warrior Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I am curious as to who Mr Crouch had lined up to join us if he had ousted lowe and the jelly fish the other day. He made clear on the interview last week that he had players and a manager lined up. Can I ask those that walk the inner sanctum of the Knight Sir Leon court to reveal who was likely to join the bold fight for southampton fc
Andy_Porter Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I think someone mentioned Boothroyd on here.
hypochondriac Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I think someone mentioned Boothroyd on here. Nope.
hypochondriac Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Ian Holloway. He was at today's game. Try again.
Panda Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 See another thread - Colin Calderwood. I know he's Scots but the papers (especially the NotW) don't know the difference.
um pahars Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 It's not normally that I will post stuff told to me under a strict blackout, but think this thread is worthy of breaking that code. Even though he is still under contract I have been told that Crouch/Corbett/Fulthorpe have a provisional agreement to install Gerry Hamstra as our new manager. Please don't quote this post as I may want to delete it in a few minutes, but this has come from a very trusted source.
benjii Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 If that's true than I fail to see how they could do any better.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 David Armstrong was dropping some pretty heavy hints on the radio yesterday regarding imminent Boardroom developments but we've heard it all before to be honest .
NickG Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Didn't recognise David Armstrong when he started talking on the championship!
scott_saints Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I heard a rumour that it was Dowie. Dunno if it was true or not!
Toomer Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Leon could well have another go over the next week or two.
Snowballs2 Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Friday Err... I thought Mondays were the agreed new Fridays???
sadoldgit Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Steve that isn't who I heard. So who did you hear??? Anyway, are we supposed to go into administation this week???
Gator Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Who the hell is Gerry Hamster? the guy from Top Gear.
thorpie the sinner Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 It was that matey from Kettering wasn't it?
ottery st mary Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 My wife is a very good Manager and could do better than JP and his side kick Wottey.
sadoldgit Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 My wife is a very good Manager and could do better than JP and his side kick Wottey. Perhaps she should team up with Steve Godwin's nephew Ottery?
Saint Martini Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Who the hell is Gerry Hamster? Gerry Hamstra is a manager in the Dutch second division. I think um was being a bit sarcastic.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Err... I thought Mondays were the agreed new Fridays??? Only when they fall on a Wednesday (the Fridays that is)
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I think Um has got mixed up and this is who he means?
um pahars Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Gerry Hamstra is a manager in the Dutch second division. I think um was being a bit sarcastic. You're on the money LOL. Just imagine the furore if Gerry was unveiled at SMS.:smt022:smt022:smt022, even if someone came up with a fake CV and some obscure claims about how he won 3 promotions from the Zezde Klasse and can operate with no money. Looking back that fcking CV issue was hilarious and all those stories about how he can work with youngsters and no money!!!!!! What's been the reaction in the Dutch media to Poortvliet and Wotte swapping roles????

um pahars Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Perhaps she should team up with Steve Godwin's nephew Ottery? Would you give little Manhattan the same amount of time that you gave that legend Jan Poortvliet to try and prove himself??? Give the bloke a chance, he needs support and it is only September In fact, his little sister Palestina could probably do a better job than the man you were imploring us to persevere with:smt088:smt088:smt088 Did Jan pop by for a cup of tea on his way to Dover?? Did he survive the Medway Mafia? Mwah:smt054
ottery st mary Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Perhaps she should team up with Steve Godwin's nephew Ottery? Uncle um, I am being bullied by Uncle Bern the sadoldgit.....is this all to do with you being a true Saints supporter and Uncle Bern being very jealous and laying in bed with Rupert, jonah, johnnyFartPants and all those other nasties who love being at the top table.:smt022
sadoldgit Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Sadly me old rodent friend I have only met Rupes for about 15 seconds and Jonah for a couple of hours (although Mark did kindly end me a book about Woodward) so no bed action for me. If I had any sense I would be back in bed with my partner who has decided to stay put today (as it is snowing and bloody freezing) rather than chatting away here! I am not even at the servants table let along the top one!!! I am so low that I am not even considered worthy of being fed bio-grow like the other plants....ho hum....

Next time out Skiing, SHOOTING ducks or laying on the heather with Rupes, I will put a good word in for you...you seem to have fallen down the pecking order if you are not telling porkies.....
sadoldgit Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I was never up the pecking order to start with. Just ask the "brothers" on here. They will conform that I am only a plastic fane who rarely goes to games. Dear old Unncle Rupert did speak to me briefly when I attended one of the great escape matches and had a beer and a curry at a local boozer with people from SaintsList. This gathering was also addressed by the great Ted Bates. I was standing by the door, he walked in and said something like " a great three points" and was past me before I realised who it was. Ships that pass in the night... No mate, I am just a sadoldgit who lives his life as a Saints supporter vicarioulsy through an internet chat board.
Evil Monkey Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Steve that isn't who I heard. Are we back to the old 'I'm ITK but I'm not going to tell you what I know' sh*t? Put up or shut up please.
ottery st mary Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Kevin Keegan on his way to Southampton......Play him up front with Saga and that fierce dog with the Saints shirt on, pictured during the march.

hypochondriac Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Are we back to the old 'I'm ITK but I'm not going to tell you what I know' sh*t? Put up or shut up please. I was talking to steve not you. HTH
stthrobber Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Looking back that fcking CV issue was hilarious and all those stories about how he can work with youngsters and no money!!!!!! What's been the reaction in the Dutch media to Poortvliet and Wotte swapping roles???? Probably no reaction whatsoever. I found it incredible when it was revealed recently that JP and Wotte weren't acquainted before this season. The fact that they didn't get on at all came as a bit of a shock too, so if I'm reading things rightly we started a revolutionary coaching system with 2 Dutchmen who had never met and didn't like each other, coupled with a coach who wanted out at the first opportunity. Staggering, simply staggering. To quote your good self Steve, "You couldn't make it up"

What's been the reaction in the Dutch media to Poortvliet and Wotte swapping roles???? Nothing much in the Dutch media. There was some reports about Poortvliet being ****ed off at Wotte about the fact that Wotte broke Dutch Manager Association rules but other then that nothing much. In short, no one really cares.
Snowballs2 Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 Kevin Keegan on his way to Southampton......Play him up front with Saga and that fierce dog with the Saints shirt on, pictured during the march. I could dress up my dog in Saints shirt, she is a lab / Staffy cross trouble is she is a bit like Ivan Golac...goes for the legs
Gingeletiss Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I could dress up my dog in Saints shirt, she is a lab / Staffy cross trouble is she is a bit like Ivan Golac...goes for the legs Cripes....with today's refs, him and Frannie would be off every match;)
Evil Monkey Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I was talking to steve not you. HTH I understand that message wasnt directed at me, but it wasnt sent privately either. All you're doing is rubbing you're ITK secrets in everyone's faces. I thought that little game had stopped about a year ago, but I guess I was wrong.
Mr Saints Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I heard a whisper Steve Cotterill was and still is waiting on standby.
ottery st mary Posted 1 February, 2009 Posted 1 February, 2009 I could dress up my dog in Saints shirt, she is a lab / Staffy cross trouble is she is a bit like Ivan Golac...goes for the legs Cert for mid-field General...Get that dog down to staplewood for training... On second thoughts straight to St Marys tomorrow night straight in the team and captain...My wife says I am barking mad...Probably my Dutch ancestors who settled in Gloucestershire.
