Legod Second Coming Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 Blackpool are not the richest club in Britain - FACT!!! Err no QPR are. FACT.
offix Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 better in terms of dealing with our financial situation as well as on the pitch in terms of performance. What "performance" are you referring to? Did you look at our points total? Dealing with our financial situation: Does that mean selling all valuable assets so that any hope of future income can surely be eliminated? If so, Ru**rt and traitor Boy are doing a great job! Whitey Grandad Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 Err no QPR are. FACT. More than Chelsea? QPR may have wealthy backers but it appears that they are no more dipping their hands into their pockets than RL & MW
madruss Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 And I'd forgotten how our wonderful array of tactics last season completely bamboozled the opposition. To the uneducated eye it seemed that we just varied the personel who couldn't perform in the roles they were given. Bristol Rovers in particular were completeley confused by our impression of a team who'd never played football before. Nicely put. Last season there were plenty of games where we never once looked like we'd get the better of the other team. At least now we look able to dominate teams for a part of the game. It's progress, it'll be slow probably, but there are plenty of teams we will beat this season if we play to our full potential.

madruss Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 If only we could get points for playing pretty "part of the game". It's a small crumb of comfort I'll agree, but at least there's a sign of hope there. After Palace last season, I left feeling completely hopeless, the team was booed off and didn't seem to have any plan or purpose. On Saturday, it couldn't have been more different. (Except for 3 points obviously, but then when has football ever been that simple!)
offix Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 You mean for 'artistic impression'? What a great idea! Southampton: 1.3 points (for playing pretty) Opposition: 3.0 points (for simply winning) We would still lose, and we would still get relegated, but the mindless optimists on here could at least point to some points when they tell us how nice it was to see the team lose again. Thedelldays Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 we had a much better team last year by a country mile..i would say (other than a CB) we had a team easily capable of finishing in the top 6.. shame the manager was incompetant at the time

Between them Bernie, Flavio and Mittal make Abramovic look like a man who's won a tenner on the lottery!!
