No.

We might beat them, but I can't see where else we would get the required points from in the other 4 games (Fulham H, Man City A, Everton A, Arsenal H).

Best we can possibly hope for now is 15 points I reckon.

No but i do think it's important that we end the season with a few positive results. Having said that the last 3 games look like write offs to me. Would absolutely love it if we did manage to ruin the Goodison farewell party though.

We spoiled the Maine Road farewell party!

Didn't even click that we're the last game at Goodison. Now I have something to be excited for again.

No. West Ham are clearly out of sorts and we did well to get a point but we're not finding another seven.

Even if Leicester didn't get any more points this season, we'd probably need more than 7 points due to our GD being 9 behind Leicester.

It’s ‘only’ nine goals at the moment but if by some miracle we made up those 7 points that gap would be closer.

Nah, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I reckon that we'll be level on points with them by the 9th/10th August.

The EFL aren't happy with them. They might get a points deduction on their return to the EFL.

I would say impossible given our record at Goodison but Nathan Jones managed to get a win there so anything could happen!

But wasn’t he the best manager in Europe at the time?

Seriously thought this thread must have started in February.

Thought that this thread was a hangover from last season.

Slightly more prize money

And how many true Saints give a flying f*ck about the prize money at this stage of this particular season do you think? Genuine question.

Most people will care about the players we sign in summer.

Going by last season finishing 19th instead of 20th is worth about 3m more.

That's certainly not to be sniffed at .

Not that it makes much difference as there's no way we're catching Leicester.

We’re down - there’s no trophy for being last or second to last. The important issue is the filtering of crap from the squad ready for the new season and a manager who knows how to play proper football. Not possession based bore-fest, anti-football.

Money that can be added to the transfer pot to make the team better.

I doubt it'll happen anyway. No sign we are capable of getting that many points from the remaining games.

We have a tough run in even if you discount the fact we’ve been absolutely pathetic all season. Just one more point will do me please.

They have one record we don't, 9 successive home games without scoring.

Bit annoyed about that, wanted a clean sweep this season.

Our aim should be to finish as close to them as possible. They’ve been atrocious, on par with us I’d say.  Shame we’ve been the team trying not to get the worst ever points tally as there’s been a lot less focus on them being so bad.

By the time they play us in their next home fixture it'll be:

  • 5 months
  • 3 Saints managers
  • 2 Popes
  • 2 US presidents
  • 6 F1 races across 2 different seasons, with an entire off season and testing in the middle
  • Jesus has been born, died and resurrected again (I might be stretching the truth on that one)
  • The Six Nations, the Grand National and the Boat Race
  • Christiano Ronaldo has been paid enough money to buy Declan Rice

Since they last scored at home.

We are their next home fixture? We know where this is going then …
