We are still catching up with Leicester City with only 7 points difference and a 6 pointer game between us. We’re only seven points behind them so these six points would put us only one behind. Oh hang on. 3
Convict Colony Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Good effort by Deadwood fc v Dildo brothers. All to play for to get the magical 12pts. I jest of course it's still a fucking shambles, need to fast forward this season of the premier league and get back to that hit show The Championship. 1
East Kent Saint Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Watching the replay of Dybling’s near miss the ball was several inches from the ground which might explain why it went over the bar !

Yeah, Dawson on Sky made it sound like he missed a sitter, ok he probably should have scored but it was hardly a Che Adams stood on the line special ! Edited 11 hours ago by beatlesaint 2

He was looking at the goal and not the ball. It’s a fundamental football rule that you should always keep your eyes on the ball. You should see your laces hit it. Or boot, at least. He swung his boot through where he thought the ball was going to be. At his stage of development this is a basic. 3

He was at fault for their goal today - invited their player to go left rather than getting him to the byline and safe, so also inviting him to shoot and score. Basic defending not observed by a very average player….once again. Also, his dead ball delivery is appallingly ineffective…never causes a problem for the defence or goalie, although admittedly he’s aiming at statues in the box. Agree that full-back could be a problem area next season, if we don't get the recruitment right, but I think we're pretty much saying that all over the pitch now. On Manning, I don't think he has ever stopped a cross in his Saints career, he always gives the winger enough time and space to do what they want, putting pressure on an already weak defence. I said last week, that he's got all the weaknesses of Danny Fox, but none of the strengths in an attacking sense, either. Defensively very poor, and attacking wise, as you said never puts in a good ball and most of the time when he does have the ball, he turns back and goes for the easy pass. Manning's one of the Martin friends group, but he was the only one from the group Martin doubted could make the step up, hence the signings of Taylor and Wellington and why Manning wasn't getting a look in at the start of the season and linked with a move away. He's now in the team because he's got a bit of fight about him and does put in effort, but we do need more quality there. 6

Watching so many replays over the years so many fantastic shots have had a nick from a defenders boot to put it out of reach of the goalie or it's come off a shin or hit into the ground that it's not right to slag Dibling off in this case 🙂

Full backs at that level are generally pretty horrific.

Maybe billiard table pitches have spoilt too many players. Those of us who played Sunday League know that just getting some contact of the ball can be difficult at times.

BarberSaint Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Only things I'd say are, many would have missed so that's that. But of course he does play at that level so that amount of time is probably 5 seconds to those who never have or will make it to his level. 50/50.

Happens to the best though. Dibling does lack composure but I guess he's only young. KWP's was pretty bad too although he's not a forward so a bit more understandable. Edited 5 hours ago by Harry_SFC

Fullrig (I think) sounds a little angry from his post match interview! Great post match interview, the bloke cares! Worth a mention that the WHU forum (kumb) consider us the best fans to visit the black hole known as the london stadium. 1
