Sarnia Cherie Posted Saturday at 16:10 Posted Saturday at 16:10 Surely we can squeeze one more point before the end of the season. It's like pulling teeth but more painful and no anaesthetic. 1

John Boy Saint Posted Saturday at 16:18 Posted Saturday at 16:18 Golly gosh - out in the Far East with work, woke up to the Leicester 9-0, listened to the Chelsea cup final loss at last I go to bed with a cheeky last minute draw.
bangkoksaint Posted Saturday at 16:20 Posted Saturday at 16:20 West Ham fans getting somewhat impatient with Potter!!
ApprenticeBillionaire Posted Saturday at 16:20 Posted Saturday at 16:20 I do not give 1 single fucking fuck. That will do me. We have at least equalled the record, we just could not have gone down at any cost as *THE* worst. Job nearly done. 1 more point please. 2 1

Baird of the land Posted Saturday at 16:26 Posted Saturday at 16:26 Relieved we got the draw. would have been a travesty to lose twice to that awful team.
Mixedkebab Posted Saturday at 16:28 Posted Saturday at 16:28 West Ham were absolute wank but have a couple of class players. We have 1 good player and battled a bit more than usual. Keep Lesley and Downes if possible they will be a good partnership in the championship. The whole defence is trash but think THB will turn out ok so wouldn’t complain if we kept him. pleased for the fans that went to see that late equaliser, Leicester game is huge but really want us to fuck up Everton’s big day 2
Farmer Saint Posted Saturday at 16:30 Posted Saturday at 16:30 FFS, we're so shit we can't even break Derby's record. Would have been great to at least get something positive out of this season to go with the two 9-0s. 3

Ok we lost 3-0 last week to a very good side but at least the team had a plan and today they seemed up for it. Sad but small gains and all that. Edited Saturday at 16:39 by Harry_SFC 2
Vancouver Saint Posted Saturday at 16:40 Posted Saturday at 16:40 Only saw the game from the 50th minute when we were 1-0 down. Thought we played pretty well after this point and were the better team. Certainly deserved at least a draw. Dibling should have scored earlier. Team certainly playing for Rusk until the final minute...could have won it with a few minutes more 2

OttawaSaint Posted Saturday at 16:45 Posted Saturday at 16:45 Wish we'd fucking gone for it at the end. WHU's nerves were jangling but we worked it back to half way line forcing the ref to blow for FT. Thick players. 1
Teamsaint1 Posted Saturday at 16:48 Posted Saturday at 16:48 I don’t suppose there is any chance we can get Les for next season ? I wonder, even assuming he was prepared to play ithe Championship, what his price might be ? £20m ? anyway, sounds like a decent effort today. This is what we should have been doing all season. Just do whatever it takes to stay in games . 1
Roger Posted Saturday at 16:56 Posted Saturday at 16:56 We have looked better when we have played downes and Lesley together. It just took too long for a manager to see it. 6

lambtiss Posted Saturday at 17:04 Posted Saturday at 17:04 If we beat Derby's record we will have to make a DVD of Les's goal and make him a statue, at the very least. 1
die Mannyschaft Posted Saturday at 17:09 Posted Saturday at 17:09 Great goal. Should have had another 3 or 4 just needed a striker. Overall pleased with point as we don't play aggressive on front foot football. I managed to move down from top tier to lower tier in time for goal and my son got KWP shirt! 3
Dr Who? Posted Saturday at 17:14 Posted Saturday at 17:14 Well I never! I knew West Ham were rubbish, but my oh my. 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 17:29 Posted Saturday at 17:29 (edited) Was watching intermittently - couldn’t get a good stream after half-time and when I did we were 1-0 down. Thought that was that, but to my delight and amazement the players actually looked like they wanted to get anything from the game and somehow a goal was crafted very late on. It’s clear the confidence is low though - we had WHU on the ropes at the end but they were too scared to go for it in earnest and happy to snatch a point. This is what SR and poor management have brought us to…scared of having a go late in the game against WHU….its pitiful really. Anyhow, feeling chuffed that we managed to get a point I never thought we’d get and equal Derby’s record. Now to cement that with another point at least. Please! badgerx16 Posted Saturday at 17:54 Posted Saturday at 17:54 (edited) The way this season has gone, with 90 seconds to play after Les's equaliser I was still expecting a West Ham winner. Edited Saturday at 17:54 by badgerx16 5

SNSUN Posted Saturday at 19:07 Posted Saturday at 19:07 I fell asleep about 4.15pm for 3 hours and just woke to this news. Well done Lesley! Equalling the Derby record at least means we're not THE worst team in Prem history so that should give us some confidence. I might even watch that programme that they've apparently been showing on a Saturday night for months... Match of the... Something. Supposed to have a good theme tune. I'm going to celebrate now with a beer and a Creme Egg. 2

Pamplemousse Posted Saturday at 20:27 Posted Saturday at 20:27 The tactics from Potter was baffling. Took off all their attacking players, Kudus, Bowen etc. which just handed the iniative straight to us. We're bottom of the league, you're 1-0 up, you've got to go for a second goal. Fair play to us for seizing the chance. 7

saintstowin Posted Saturday at 21:24 Posted Saturday at 21:24 (edited) It was an odd and long lost feeling to see the football team I support passing the ball to each other and at several times attacking with something like intent. And with some exceptions looking team-like when the other lot had the ball. Not perfect but not bad. Good! From what I saw it was a very slow game and that probably helped us, but we totally deserved at least what we got if not more. Even if they invited us forward you've still got to make it happen. A late happy goal. The jogging back from the attack for their goal. Normal 24/25 and bad. Please a few of you just sprint. But a lot else was really pleasing. HarvSFC Posted Saturday at 22:33 Posted Saturday at 22:33 Another positive bit from today is that with Sugawara dropped from the match squad, it's looking more and more likely that he has got one foot out of the door. So, hopefully we replace KWP with an actual right-back under the new recruitment regime. 1

He was at fault for their goal today - invited their player to go left rather than getting him to the byline and safe, so also inviting him to shoot and score. Basic defending not observed by a very average player….once again. Also, his dead ball delivery is appallingly ineffective…never causes a problem for the defence or goalie, although admittedly he’s aiming at statues in the box. Just do whatever it takes to stay in games . Les and Downes as the CM pairing laid the foundations for the spirited performance today. Athletic, aggressive, box-to-box players, they are the prototype for what’s needed next season - if not them, similar players. No more Smallbones or Airibos please; learn the lesson and make the CM solid, aggressive and with the capacity to trigger transition. Their performances compared well against the predictable, cautious JWP approach, which often seemed to slow the Hammers play down and allow a tempo which suited us. Sulemana was a handful, unlucky not to score, and despite his detractors has done enough to make a mockery of his treatment from Martin (Les too) and ensure the Club will recoup a good portion of his record transfer fee if he moves on in the Summer. Fernandes again impressive; what a player he is, and will be. Ramsdale , though not busy, made the saves others wouldn’t have to keep us in it until the Ugochukwu screamer arrived. Even our much maligned CBs played with structure and shape to deny all but the Bowen strike, made possible by some Manning slackness. Rusk played it down but it was good to draw level with Derby’s tally and it will be a moment of relief when another point or two leaves them with that unwanted record. 1
SaintBobby Posted Sunday at 01:44 Posted Sunday at 01:44 Relieved to get to 11 points. I guess we are "ahead" of Derby on goal difference unless we conceded about 16 goals more than we score in the next 5 matches and lose them all. (possible, I guess)
HKsaint Posted Sunday at 02:26 Posted Sunday at 02:26 We avoided breaking Derby Record with 5 games to spare. We are still catching up with Leicester City with only 7 points difference and a 6 pointer game between us.
Give it to Ron Posted Sunday at 04:33 Posted Sunday at 04:33 Well that was a great end to a great day out with mates it’s what going to away days is all about. Few pints in The Devonshire then to a couple of pubs in Shadwell turns out it’s being knocked down in 2 weeks for flats it had fans from Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and West Ham drinking together. Ground was ball ache to get to but was better than had heard once in. Played pretty well with not much happening and West Ham looking to hit us on break which they did from our corner! Diblings miss was a shocker , then Big Les equaliser saw mad celebrations and thanks to the fellow old blokes who caught me as my leg gave way and ended up dancing together in utter joy. Defensively better with Downes and Les controlling the middle. West Ham terrible with JWP crab football not helping any quick breaks. Weird girl in blue West Ham fan just filming Saints fans was very odd and enjoyed the chants at her can’t get much attention at home! 2
