I read that she built/led Norwich's South American operation. They've done well finding players there: Emi Buendia, Gabriel Sara, Marcelino Nunez etc.

Nice to see he is moving quickly and getting it re-staffed

Head of Recruitment Darren Mowbray leaving

Mariela Nisotaki joining Sport Republic from Norwich City where she was assistant head of recruitment.

Her job title at Sport Republic is Head of Talent Acquisition, so perhaps Mowbray's replacement under a different (but similarish) job title.

Thanks for sharing. Glad to see some

Important bit in the article:

At Sport Republic, Nisotaki will be working across the group of clubs – Southampton, Valenciennes in France and Göztepe in Turkey. Her title will be Head of Talent Acquisition, focusing on the 16 to 19 age group.

Why are you judging her on that? She was not in charge of first team recruitment at Norwich and won't be at Southampton. The article says her focus will be on the 16 to 19 age groups.

Don’t bite. He is the forum version of Joey Barton.

Strong prospect Rohl is mid table himself in the Chsmpionship but he is a bloke so that’s ok I guess.

If you want to upset the apple cart just mention a woman. Perhaps just give her a chance? The male of the species haven't made a roaring success of things have they?

For those that are stuck in the ice age and see the appointment of a woman as woke or whatever you want to call it let me just point this out to you. My son is Chief scout for American side Phoenix Rising as well as being a football agent. He lives in Venezuela where he moved to almost 5 years ago because he saw potential in untapped markets there. Just over a year ago he spent a considerable time working with Caracas FC and Norwich City in hoping to create a partnership between the two clubs. My son speaks very highly of Mariela and is excited to see what she can bring to Southampton. As one door close another one opens were his words to me last night.

I hope she does bloody well! Additionally I can't believe we have individuals doubting her talent because she's a woman? Christ 🙄...

Fairplay, welcome Mariela, i like this targeting recruitment at this age group as we can offer differing levels of playing time per player, here, Valeciennes and maybe Gozteppe.

One thing that does strike me is that behind the scenes there are a lot of changes, personally changes which we need to make.

Sport Republic have been a disaster but if Spors can clean things up and get a consistent structure behind the scenes, it can only be beneficial.

I noticed in the finances published for all the teams in the Championship for the previous season that we were way behind our rivals in commerical revenue earned. I thought Parsons was supposed to be sorting this out?

Tbf, whether you like them or not, that certainly happened for this season with all the different fanzones, Dell Pub and Knightwood Lounge. That was a fair amount of change for a start.

So glad to see we are setting are sights really high across all areas of the club.

Im so looking forward to getting our Tipex Paint, or as I think it is now Virtual reality cup back in the coming seasons.

Good on you Spoors., anticipating the next masterstroke.
