EssEffCee Posted Tuesday at 17:52 Posted Tuesday at 17:52 Thought it'd be interesting to see how many people plan on renewing their ST's next year. I suspect this season has broken many fans and we'll see quite a sharp drop from last season especially as prices will be higher than then. Although I reckon the matches against the skates might make some people's mind up. Personally I'll be renewing regardless. Mainly for away game reasons but also because next season will undoubtedly be much more enjoyable than this one. Am tempted to bin the Northam off though and move to the Chapel...

It's a yes from me as I prefer the championship anyway Hopefully not many season tickets sold either side of the away end so loads of lads can buy there for the skates game, recreate an Itchen North style for one off 1
miserableoldgit Posted Tuesday at 18:39 Posted Tuesday at 18:39 Probably a yes......I have had one for 50 years, although it hasn't had much use this season.....combination of health reasons and it being a sh1tshow. 1
Whitey Grandad Posted Tuesday at 18:44 Posted Tuesday at 18:44 As I’ve said before, my grandson won’t be able to go so I have also decided not to renew. I’m looking forward to having other options next season. 1
spyinthesky Posted Tuesday at 20:26 Posted Tuesday at 20:26 I will be renewing but have been a season ticket holder for many years and have had the same seat in the Itchen since St Marys opened although I am the only one of the five of us who sat together when the stadium opened. Sad to say that three of the group are not with us any more. 3
Barton Saint Posted Tuesday at 20:37 Posted Tuesday at 20:37 Going to move over to the Itchen corner to get in the sunshine
revolution saint Posted Tuesday at 20:49 Posted Tuesday at 20:49 Yep, almost certainly renewing my ST and actually looking forward to next season. Championship is a great division and much more fun. 3
franniesTache Posted Wednesday at 09:21 Posted Wednesday at 09:21 (edited) Yup i'll be renewing, think this will be 42nd consecutive season of going to watch saints so fuck knows what i'd do if i didn't. That said i'd rather shave my bollocks with a rusty angle grinder than spend another season in the northam wall so will definitely be moving Edited Wednesday at 09:22 by franniesTache
beatlesaint Posted Wednesday at 09:29 Posted Wednesday at 09:29 Need to think about it. Probably dependant on the manager and the type of player we bring in cos I really dont want to watch most of these twats trot around anymore. 1
Lord Duckhunter Posted Wednesday at 11:35 Posted Wednesday at 11:35 I’ll be renewing as the football is only half of it. If being disappointed, watching over paid players mincing about, and losing regularly, were reasons not to go, I’d have stopped years ago. I don’t go away much nowadays as I watch my lad’s Wessex league side, so home games & 3 or 4 aways does me fine. 1
ant Posted Wednesday at 12:14 Posted Wednesday at 12:14 On one hand, I'd be lost without it. On the other, this is the 3rd or 4th consecutive renewal where I've seriously questioned it. And do I really want to hand SR more of my hard-earned to squander? Hmm.
die Mannyschaft Posted Wednesday at 13:38 Posted Wednesday at 13:38 Yes. Championship more entertaining and we have a chance to win games. Another play off final will do nicely.
Oldandtired Posted Wednesday at 16:34 Posted Wednesday at 16:34 I don’t know. I might wait and be a glory hunter, get a half season if they’re doing well. I’m not overly bothered about a wet Tues evening in December watching us, 11th, vs Stoke, 13th, or something tbh, especially if some form of var is introduced. I’ve watched Saints for 65 odd years now and can honestly say that this season has put me off a bit. Whether it’s just me getting too old or what I don’t know but I’m not too sure I’m that bothered anymore. 2 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted Wednesday at 18:35 Posted Wednesday at 18:35 I can imagine season tickets will be a similar price to last season with the spin of “you get four extra games”.
Tommy Posted Wednesday at 19:45 Posted Wednesday at 19:45 We could be in league two and I’d renew for myself and the lad, if you only want to support the team in the prem you are part of the problem 3 1 2

Wade Garrett Posted Wednesday at 19:52 Posted Wednesday at 19:52 Definitely. We’ve got Spors pulling the strings now, not that’s phoney prick Rasmus. I’m looking forward to a team of players that actually play for the shirt and a manager that thinks more about winning games instead of style of play. We are going to absolutely destroy the Championship next year. Not missing that. 1 1

Situations change some lose family, some lose jobs, some move away. I have been going since 67 and am only renewing if I can afford it not what division we are in. part of what problem that the recruitment has been utter shit? LGTL Posted Thursday at 16:22 Posted Thursday at 16:22 Yes, but only for access to the aways as usual. With the extra bonus of Fratton looking likely of course.

I’ve been a season ticket holder since 1979 and apart from the Branfoot era I have never been as fed up with watching Saints as I have been this season. It’s got fuck all to do with what league the club are in, the “prem” only supporters don’t tend to become season ticket holders by and large ! 4
whelk Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Had ST for last 15 odd years. Although this season was the one I missed most games. As others said Championship much better and if was just for watching games would have sacked off years ago. Catching up with mates in pub before and often after is reason for renewal Edited 9 hours ago by whelk 2

macca155 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Probably will, I've had a season ticket since the early 90s. Hard to envisage a life without one. Having said that motivating myself to go has been difficult this year. Football is a family event for us so other factors in play. What might sway me is the ridiculous KO times. Lots of non 3pm games for Saints next year. The early Saturday KO are going to be particularly awkward. See what the fixture list throws up I suppose. Problem is I can be all billy big bollocks about not renewing, but I know I am pathetic and shallow. A new manager and some player movement, will have me all enthusiastic until August. 1
Wiggles31 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago After the disaster of this season I want to renew just to lift my spirits. We could come 13th next season and it would still be 10 times better than this season. Plus now having a little one it’s priceless time to have a few beers with the old man. 1
ecuk268 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago As long as the price doesn't go up, I'll be renewing. My 10-year old grandson will also be getting his first season ticket (does that count as child abuse)? I read this article which says that the big clubs are looking to reduce the number of season ticket holders in favour of "tourists". Apparently, season ticket holders tend to turn up and watch the game without spending much, whereas the tourists buy the over-priced stuff in the club shops. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/apr/11/a-parasitical-business-model-football-ticket-resellers-squeeze-out-loyal-supporters?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
Sergei Gotsmanov Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It never gets mentioned that until the Palace game we have consistently filled St Marys this season whilst watching the team register the worst results in Premier league history. If that had been Newcastle 'its like a religion' United or Manchester Citeh they would be fawning over this. Like most other Saints fans I will be renewing. 1

I don’t know if that makes us great or a bunch of nods. Calling Lord Dunkhunter to clarify 😝 1
