Quite a few empty home seats again?

I'm sure there will be quite a few season ticket holders who don't show up, but sales aren't bad for the game overall, about 500 general admission remain on sale , must help being Saturday 3pm in the kids holidays people looking for something to do, hats off to loyal fans sticking with it. I'll be there,  will genuinely get behind the team, fuck it let's battle and earn some pride. Beat Derby's record, give us something to cheer.

Nor can I have any pre-match relaxant: no trains so I'll have to drive..

I noticed bus replacements from Eastleigh and Fareham to Southampton Central, pain for anyone coming from North or East. Unusually Skates are also home Saturday so could bump into some of them crossing paths

1 train per hour ( AFAICS) from Salisbury/ Romsey. So unless SWR have decided to put on unusually long trains they are going to be  rammed.

edit. SWR tell me on X that the 17.38 is planned to be two carriages.

Last weekend you had us, Bournemouth, Brighton and them all away in London, very strange scheduling.

Villa are taking this pre match preparation super professionally😎

They will attempt to dismantle us in the first half to kill off the game ( and crowd) and then they will attempt to just hold us at bay to prepare for the PSG match.

The longer we can keep it at 0-0 or tight- the better. They will not want to wear out there best players so there’s a sliver of a chance last fifteen if it’s still close. We can pressurise them. Sadly I think they will be well ahead by then but here’s hoping !

Think our starting line up will reflect the above likely way the game plays out so a solid starting 11 team and then if we are still in it to try to win. With attacking subs.

Earlier I put Rusk's press conference on as background noise, but ended up attentively listening to most of it.

He speaks well. Certainly seems to 'get it', in terms of the common, obvious discussion points surrounding us. If nothing else it'll be interesting to see whether that translates to the way we play or not.

Can you get through the concourse from the chapel to the itchen does anyone know.

Not at concourse level, but it's easy go up into seats , walk across a block then down next staircase

Is there some mental instruction from the board to play 3 at the back no matter how shit it makes us?

I'm really fed up with it. We don't have the ability to play that way and not get overrun in midfield.

Seriously wondering if that is the plan. Otherwise big Les will have a job on his hands.

Personally I'd have put aribo in

Love seeing Lallana shouting and being a super coach with his whistle in one habd ball under his arm in the other. He is personally training THB in the warm up. I think th.mb  should have a word about that hair and thing though. Can’t be good for him. 😁

pS some super reaction saves from our Aaron in warm up. I reckon he’s good for maybe 6-8 saves today at least.
pps gotta laugh in a nice way at lallana. He doesn’t know wether to stretch and kick a ball or a sprint himself, clap the players or whistle/shout at them. He kind of does all of them at same time lol

Out of curiosity, anyone know why Ramsdale doesn't take part in the pre-match warm up?

He was until about 5 mins ago. Did see him shaking his hand in pain after stopping a shot from a coach. 😮

He came out earlier did two great saves and has gone to neck a few beers before kick off whilst the rest do that running stuff

Might have something to do with being 3-0 down after 14 minutes against Spurs, playing four at the back, because our defenders are so sh*t at this level. It seems like all three managers are, perhaps rightly, setting us up primarily to not get spanked.

Having arrived in an uncharacteristically timely fashion, it's the first time in a long while I've witnessed the shooting drills.

Fucking hell. 😂

TBF he can probably hit them better/harder than any of the players Ramsdale usually trains against.

I’m saying it.

i fancy us for a win today.

I really can’t see it. Rashford will get a couple, Asensio will get one too.  I’m sure Tielemans likes a goal against us.
