Leicester fans were chanting “you’re not fit to wear the shirt” at their team tonight. Our fans applaud the players despite them embarrassing the club on the world stage. Says it all really.

I do actually have an issue with this, one of those players was Jamie Vardy and whilst we all can't stand him, he's now a Leicester legend and he's been LOYAL to them when he could've moved. Not his fault he's still picked and probably not the player he once was in the top flight - although he's still managed 7 goals in that dreadful team and that's more than our strikers combined I think?

So how do you differentiate that chant between players, you can't.

The irony of the 'supporters' on here moaning at the away support whilst sat just typing at home on match days behind their keyboards !!

I've done 13 aways this season (plus Oxford pre-season), already have tickets to West Ham and will be going to Everton, plus the season ticket. Most seasons i'll do between 15-18 aways, plus the season ticket. And in Europe i did every single away game (including 72 hours in Israel).

Does that mean my moaning about the lack of pride a section of our support has is fine?

I just get annoyed when people don't act with pride. I'm massively proud to be a sotonian, proud of my city, my roots, and by extension the club. I despise us being the laughing stock of football, and i judge people who think it's all just a jolly and singing about our failure is something to be proud of.

The way the world view us as a football club is also the way many in the world view southampton as a city, and instead of singing about the championship or going to coventry we should be raging we're being humiliated like this because some know it all, ted talk, hipster cunts think they're so fucking clever.

So yeah they CAN do what they want if they've paid, but i wish they fucking didn't, or better yet if they're going to celebrate being shit they didn't bother going in the first place.

I've also not been to quite as many away games as Frannies Tache and he has every right to his point of view but I thought the Championship Again and Going to Coventry songs were great examples of ironic chanting which cheered me up, and from what I overheard impressed at least  a few of the home fans.  I'll also admit to applauding the team at the end as a sign of support for the players who I think in the main have tried their best, even though of course it's been nowhere near good enough.

One other point we need the players to be fully committed and keen for our remaining games. Hopefully our (new) coaching team will make a difference. Some may think giving the players abuse is the way to motivate them but I believe an arm around the shoulder and some encouragement is a better approach.

And where does it get them? apart from leaving as sour atmosphere. I will never forget howbad it waas when I saw our own fans fighting amongst ourselves in the Northam in thelate days of Rupert. It made no difference butjust made a toxic atmosphere that helped none of us

I think it made a huge difference! Ultimately, it got him out and led to Markus taking over.

People are poking fun at us, yes but most are sympathetic to the fans and what weve gone through and repect that we turn up in numbers. Many clubs this season have been seen as jokes, all apaart from Ipswich of the failing clubs who seem to be immune from it.

Whilst Im born and bred in Southampton and very proud of it ( I dont live there now) but when I return to our fine city Iam appalled how/what it has become. A shodow of what it was 30 or so years ago. When I was growing up Soton was quite a nicecity and Pompeythe dump, now it seems the roles have reversed

As far as I can tell, most fans seem to respect us for still turning up and getting behind our team, in spite of everything. People start laughing at us when fans start running onto the pitch, throwing their STs at players etc.

Brilliant, yes youve got it. Add to that the marches, as if anybody at the top even notices or takes any notice. What fans have got to understand that to a degree Solak puts his own money in (not £700 for a season ticket, that is moaned about) I doubt there is a handful of fans who would put their lifesavings/house on the line for the club, because thats what Solak is kind of doing. What is the saying how do you make a multi millionaire into a millionaire, buy a football club
