Not one Tottenham player closed down. They play it out from the back, able to pick out a pass in midfield, who has all the time in the world, plays it out wide and as routine, our lot just back off and let the ball into the box.

Offside?

If our "winning goal" at Brighton earlier in the season was disallowed for offside then so should that have been.

The inconsistency is fucking infuriating.

What an abysmal team we have.  What on earth the point of signing Archer was I'll never know - lightweight, billy big bollox thinking he's way better than he is.

Can't wait until we get rid of half of this squad.  Spineless, pathetic, talentless

Yep Solanke was as much in the way as our player was at Brighton. Great stuff.

Those two are not comparable. The Spurs player wasn't blocking Ramsdale's sightline and didn't make an attempt to play the ball.

But they’ll be brilliant in the Championship - so we’re told.

Saints hit the post. Spurs send a long ball up the other end and score.

Ball hit Porro on the arm too. Other end it's a penalty. Just because we're going down doesn't mean they shouldn't look at everything properly.

Hardly controversial! We have a squad packed full of very good Championship players, who are completely out of depth in the Premier League.

To sell some other club will need to want to buy them, can’t see anyone wanting anyone except Fernandes, Dibling, Ramsdale and Harwood Bellis.

I think it's propoganda. Most will struggle next year. We need an overhaul.

They didn't struggle last time, so why would they next season? The struggle will come if we keep them after any new promotion.

I've got no interest in seeing any of this lot again next year, regardless of how good fans think they will be.

Aren’t they mostly the same players that got promoted under the dog shit manager Russel Martin?

At Premier League level, sure, but there are more potential clubs they can go to than just the Premier League.

Would you not be interested even if they gave us a promotion-chasing campaign?

If we lose today and are relegated, we need to say goodbye to Juric and start to plan for next season starting Monday.

Utter nonsense - we have little idea how these players will do without their man Martin. Plus this is not a team - it’s a bunch of disconnected average players that have no idea how to win a game of football, let alone have any pride in our club.

Last time, this time. Different seasons, some different players, different "scar tissue". My opinion is that many of the players in this "team" will struggle. Your opinion is the opposite. However, it's likely many won't be with Saints anymore so we'll never know for sure since the players on the "team" will have changed.

Not particularly, they represent the worse ever season in Southampton Football Club's history. Why would you want to support them again next season?

We didn’t convince either, and a number of that squad will not be here next season.

As Tall Paul injured or he is punished by Juris for scoring goal?

Possibly Juric thinking that Spurs would flood into attack, leaving them vulnerable to a quick counter with Archer picking it up.

Rather than pinning them back against their natural game, by having TP lurking around.

If anything, I think Martin held them back in the Championship season. We should have done better.

Those players aren't 'average' for the Championship. Take Armstrong for example... 2nd top scorer in the league playing on the right in most games.

I don't care anymore. Just get the season done with. Is not a saintsplayer on the pitch i enjoy watching. They really don't give a fudge anymore. Deserves to be the worst team ever in the PL.

He went off injured vs Palace and did not train fully in the build-up to today's game.

Well yes, the team isn't very good. But those Barbie Pink shirts should be rounded up and burnt before the Civic Centre. No dignity ......

Injured against Palace HK my old pal and presumably not deemed fit enough to start today. Might get some minutes later on, we’ll see!

2008/09 was a worse season.

Sure not close in points total, but it was a relegation to the 3rd tier.

How's he getting on at WBA?

Just a question, I haven't been keeping tabs.

I'm probably alone in this but I've just got this really strong feeling we're gonna win today. I haven't felt like we're going to win any game this season, but I've got a funny feeling about this one.

Why do you do it to yourself?

They did struggle though. We scraped promotion through the playoffs and the expectation was automatic promotion.  Conceded 63 goals and our defending is just as bad this season . I don’t see the point in hoping that they will be good enough next season, after the last two abysmal premier league campaigns, I’m all for a huge clear out. Get rid of this losing mentality which is endemic amongst the squad.

You'd think that the players would put a real shift in today to avoid the inevitable. They look less arsed than usual.
