HarvSFC Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Not one Tottenham player closed down. They play it out from the back, able to pick out a pass in midfield, who has all the time in the world, plays it out wide and as routine, our lot just back off and let the ball into the box.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Had a chance to do more with that space wide of their goal. But no, pass it back for a pointless hit into traffic. Wasted.

OttawaSaint Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Alrighty then. We've had our shot on goal we can concentrate now on running around like headless chickens while Spurs fill their boots.
washsaint Posted April 6 Posted April 6 What an abysmal team we have. What on earth the point of signing Archer was I'll never know - lightweight, billy big bollox thinking he's way better than he is. Can't wait until we get rid of half of this squad. Spineless, pathetic, talentless 5
Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted April 6 Posted April 6 At least we'll be on the Disney Channel if we play Wrexham next season. Highly appropriate for this Mickey Mouse outfit. 1

The inconsistency is fucking infuriating. Those two are not comparable. The Spurs player wasn't blocking Ramsdale's sightline and didn't make an attempt to play the ball. 1

Saint NL Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Completely out of our depth against a team that is completely out of form.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Everyone too deep. Any work by Dibling & KWP wasted effort as the ball out to Archer was never getting to him.

At Premier League level, sure, but there are more potential clubs they can go to than just the Premier League.

Norm Posted April 6 Posted April 6 If we lose today and are relegated, we need to say goodbye to Juric and start to plan for next season starting Monday. 4

Utter nonsense - we have little idea how these players will do without their man Martin. Plus this is not a team - it’s a bunch of disconnected average players that have no idea how to win a game of football, let alone have any pride in our club. 1
HKsaint Posted April 6 Posted April 6 As Tall Paul injured or he is punished by Juris for scoring goal?
OttawaSaint Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Just now, Matthew Le God said: They didn't struggle last time, so why would they next season? The struggle will come if we keep them after any new promotion. Last time, this time. Different seasons, some different players, different "scar tissue". My opinion is that many of the players in this "team" will struggle. Your opinion is the opposite. However, it's likely many won't be with Saints anymore so we'll never know for sure since the players on the "team" will have changed. 3
Holmes_and_Watson Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Ramsdale's face with the save. Our defence moved around. Les no where near his man to pick up the card that led to their set piece.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Just now, HKsaint said: As Tall Paul injured or he is punished by Juris for scoring goal? Possibly Juric thinking that Spurs would flood into attack, leaving them vulnerable to a quick counter with Archer picking it up. Rather than pinning them back against their natural game, by having TP lurking around.

If anything, I think Martin held them back in the Championship season. We should have done better. Those players aren't 'average' for the Championship. Take Armstrong for example... 2nd top scorer in the league playing on the right in most games. 1

kjurwi Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I don't care anymore. Just get the season done with. Is not a saintsplayer on the pitch i enjoy watching. They really don't give a fudge anymore. Deserves to be the worst team ever in the PL.

Edmonton Saint Posted April 6 Posted April 6 4 minutes ago, Matthew Le God said: They didn't struggle last time, so why would they next season? The struggle will come if we keep them after any new promotion. They did struggle though. We scraped promotion through the playoffs and the expectation was automatic promotion. Conceded 63 goals and our defending is just as bad this season . I don’t see the point in hoping that they will be good enough next season, after the last two abysmal premier league campaigns, I’m all for a huge clear out. Get rid of this losing mentality which is endemic amongst the squad. 1
Saint NL Posted April 6 Posted April 6 You'd think that the players would put a real shift in today to avoid the inevitable. They look less arsed than usual.
