The MP, Rupert Lowe has had the parliamentary whip removed due to allegations of bullying. Of course, he denies them and is shouting the odds about his fellow party members. His display of arrogance is rather familiar.

Assume MP stands for mega-prick in this context?

Yep, mega prick , but would he be better running our club than the present set up ?  Then again that's not a very high bar I guess !!

I read somewhere recently 🤔 that he had been made favourite to be the next Prime Minister.🫣

I think this comment may have come from the ketamine infused Elon Musk who is very wealthy but worryingly rather odd

His level of arrogance is no lower than that of Farage, Tice and 30p Lee though.

Having experience in having a top radio station pays off for him there.

What a shame his takeover attempts on the road to no 10 have hit a familiar bump. Relegation from the party beckons. 🙂

Referred to the police as well.

Donates his salary to charity. Any forum members do that?

His Parliamentary salary, maybe.

His personal wealth is estimated at £30m and his companies regularly receive government payments that far exceed the £90k that he’s donating this year.

For example.. His covid test enterprise that made £8m still received government handouts of £150k.

Alledgedly

We might have to hold off on the Saint Rupert statue at SMS a little while longer yet.

Very generous from a multi millionaire whose property and land in Gloucestershire is so big a race horse trainer is based and works out of the Estate. The trainers rent is probably greater than Lowe’s MP salary but hey if you want to paint him as a generous man of the people instead of the c**t he is then knock yourself out mate 🙄

Led a regional movement which helped bring in tens of millions to one of the most deprived parts of the country. Didn’t take a penny out of it, not expenses even. Did it on top of a full time head of department job as well.

Plenty of able people on here so I expect there’s others.

And no large estate in Withington to fall back on.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with his interview yesterday in which he dared to mildly criticise Farage and suggest Reform needed to be reformed. Pure cancel culture.

100% . He's best MP by a mile in my opinion, prepared to actually stand up and say his opinion , been brilliant last few months

Say his opinion = stir up hatred against minorities.

He's a multi millionaire. Of all the cuntish things he's ever done that one is right up there. Just a cynical way to try and belittle and diminish any public service, any other politicians. Lowe wants to dismantle the NHS which will make him rich - he won't be giving that "to charity" if he got his way.

It's a gesture designed to excite a particular form of gullible sap, so mission accomplished.

Many members do the same, turning up to watch their 'team' each week.

On the topic, is there actually any evidence that Wupert has actually done this? Not sure I would take his word for it.

So... he might have finally unearthed the mythical elusive investment that we so desperately needed 20 years ago.

I would credit him with the infrastructure (stadium and academy setup) that would have persuaded Liebherr to take us out of administration, but unlike our current owners, he brought precisely zero investment of his own or otherwise.

If you ever attended any of the shareholder meetings when he was chairman, accusing Farage as having messianic qualities seems somewhat  ironic!

Did shareholders or anyone else see Lowe as a “messiah”  ? Not my recollection.

They didn’t……..he did though !

He certainly did, although his public image was rather punctured by two relegations, the Woodward/Clifford sagas and December 2008’s AGM culminating in his being coined by Richard Chorley. The spending of 2006/7 further accelerated the club towards the abyss but fact was we were heading there under Lowe at a good speed already. The idea that he could manage a nation’s economy well is hilarious.

I was at that 2008 AGM…..it was an interesting day 😉

So to surmise, he dared to say something that threatened farage... And he gets summarily kicked out of the party and reported to the police? Not looking good for reform as a serious party is it? 😂🤣

Thanks for posting that article, takes us back in time!

One thing that hasn’t changed is the subtle as a fart in church PR plants in the comments section from the time. This forum was littered with them at the time as well, not dissimilar to when Martin was manager earlier this season although not in the same volume as then.

God, yeah - weren't a mass of IP addresses tracked back to some PR company?

Or was that even earlier, on Saints Forever?

Both forums IIRC - S4E in 2006 when Lowe was under pressure to step down - and in 2008/9.

I should have gone to the shareholders' meeting but wasn't in the country. I never expected to make money on that particular shareholding but a shame to lose it nonetheless.

He is a massive right wing prat though.

"Raising issues." That he thinks might stir a bit of anger and dislike and support for himself. Whilst not confronting bigger issues in this country like inequality, the redressing of which might cost him..

I was early 20's around that time and reading that Lowe was an unlikeable c^nt.

That spat between him and crouch is breathtaking. We would have gone to the wall if it wasn't for crouch iirc...
