Hatch Posted Wednesday at 09:24 Posted Wednesday at 09:24 This is taking it to another level. Salah and his buddies must be rubbing their hands in glee , all sorts of scoring records could be smashed here. Dear God, please have mercy on us.
saintant Posted Wednesday at 09:35 Posted Wednesday at 09:35 It is likely to be like shooting fish in a barrel.
Dr. Kucho Posted Wednesday at 09:35 Posted Wednesday at 09:35 Good opportunity for Liverpool to rest some players and for fringe players to get a few goals. 1
tdmickey3 Posted Wednesday at 09:37 Posted Wednesday at 09:37 Its going to be as ugly as we have ever seen...
EssEffCee Posted Wednesday at 10:05 Posted Wednesday at 10:05 Nice opportunity for Liverpool to rest half their team. Means it probably won't be too much worse than last night score wise.
Football Special Posted Wednesday at 10:07 Posted Wednesday at 10:07 Plymouth beat them, why shouldn't we 4

Well the game is sandwiched between their two European games against PSG so thats possible......might only be about 4 rather than 7 or 8-0 then !

Suhari Posted Wednesday at 12:48 Posted Wednesday at 12:48 Can we just tap out in the first 30 seconds?
BarberSaint Posted Wednesday at 14:48 Posted Wednesday at 14:48 Keep the score down. No, not play all our forwards, crash the bus and have to forfeit. Then we can use the same excuse for the rest of the games and Derby's record won't count because we were 'special'. Will keep our goal difference down, too.
Lighthouse Posted Wednesday at 16:37 Posted Wednesday at 16:37 I was going to get a ticket for this, but then I decided that doing sexual favours for sailors down Pompey dockyard for £20 was a far more dignified way to spend my Saturday. 7
die Mannyschaft Posted Wednesday at 19:43 Posted Wednesday at 19:43 After going to Chelsea and seing all those missed chance it should have been Chelsea 11-0 I'll go Liverpool 10-0. They won't have forwards missing 4 opportunities or 5 sitters. Saints will play some good football in small parts of the game but that's it. Maybe 7 minutes. Be very surprised if it's only 7-0. Some players definitely looked like tgey had given up last night. 1
coalman Posted Wednesday at 20:08 Posted Wednesday at 20:08 Surely we can make a compelling case for not being able to field a Premier League team and just take the 3-0 defeat?
Football Special Posted Wednesday at 21:56 Posted Wednesday at 21:56 Liverpool look excellent, fair play, however discussing fixtures clearly PSG over two legs and league cup final a week after our game will be priority now they are so far ahead in the league , title is done
Tommy Mulgrew Posted Wednesday at 23:13 Posted Wednesday at 23:13 I think we shall do well in this top v bottom game. I can see Manning having Salah in his pocket the whole game. Ditto, Bree with Gakpo. Archer will bully Konate and van Dijk and soften them up for Tall Paul to come on and score with ease, brushing Alison/Kelleher aside. Sully will roast TAA and create the chances for TP to score. On the other side, Dibling will skin Tsimikas at will. Talking of Will, Smallbone, Les and Aribo will smother Liverpool’s midfield and ensure we face only two shots on target all game. Gravenberch and MacAllister don’t know what hit them. Fernandes does enough to ensure a lucrative summer offer to move to Anfield. Macca, coming on for the injured Rambo, will chew gum throughout and impress with saves from both short and long range. He dominates the box and punches all Liverpool corners away, at least all those that do not go to the opponent, loitering on the edge of our area, whose shot is blocked by the rapidly closing down Smallbone. Liverpool’s inevitable penalty is beaten away from danger by Macca with aplomb. Sugawara and Welington stand like a colossus repelling the late Liverpool onslaught in the 23 minutes of extra time. ABK and THB outmuscle Nunez and Diogo Jota every time, shutting out all threats to our goal. Yes, we play 4:3:2,1 and it works a treat. 0:2; who saw that coming. A real-life David and Goliath story that ends with Callagher, Merson and Sutton eating the Anfield turf. Who cares about merely beating Derby’s points total? The greatest escape of all time is well and truly under way. We finish a point above Wolves in May and all of the previous games this season are lost in the mists of time. Juric is hailed as our saviour and the Northam is renamed in his honour. 3
Galway saint Posted yesterday at 00:00 Posted yesterday at 00:00 Going to go with 4-0 again. We seem comfortable holding teams at that score and most teams seem apathetic after scoring 4 when playing us as they know where are shit and so what's the point in wasting energy not much of a spectacle for either set of fans really when you play saints 1

St. Ciervo Posted yesterday at 03:55 Posted yesterday at 03:55 Saints have played well against Liverpool. But that wasn't Juric's team... 0-4 -- it fits us well.
StrangelyBrown Posted yesterday at 06:39 Posted yesterday at 06:39 It would be incredibly saintsy for our players to realise they are in the shop window and turn up for this one and play really well but still lose in the last minute. Everyone will ask why haven't we played like that until now and the we revert to losing 4-0 every week.
Sarnia Cherie Posted yesterday at 08:01 Posted yesterday at 08:01 Even that numpty Nunez, who couldn't score in a brothel, will be looking forward to this one.
Weston Super Saint Posted yesterday at 08:08 Posted yesterday at 08:08 If we forfeit the game, don't we just get a 3-0 defeat registered against us? I'd take that rather than what might happen. 3
Saint Billy Posted yesterday at 08:26 Posted yesterday at 08:26 A very brave and encouraging 6-0 loss. 1
Chez Posted yesterday at 08:35 Posted yesterday at 08:35 Do Liverpool get fined for putting out their reserves if they still win?

I'd take that rather than what might happen. Middlesbrough forfeited a PL game vs Blackburn in December 1996 (due to 23 of the first team squad going down with food poisoning) and were handed a 3 point penalty in addition to a default 3-0 defeat, so it would seriously hamper our concerted effort to avoid relegation if we went down that path.... Oh.... Btw, somewhat amusingly, Middlesbrough were relegated by two points that season, so would've ended up safe if they'd fielded a team of academy players instead of forfeiting* (*Subject to the consequences of the butterfly effect of course - FAO MLG) Edited yesterday at 08:41 by trousers 3
BotleySaint Posted yesterday at 09:37 Posted yesterday at 09:37 Many times in the past we've been playing poorly and then come up against one of the top teams. I always escpect a thrashing and fear another 9 nil humiliation. But of all those previous times, nothing quite compares to this. Even Liverpool reserves are far, far better than we can handle. There is a huge hole in the middle of our defence for just about anyone to waltz through whenever they like. It's been there for several games and Juric seems oblivious. I'd take a 6 or 7 nil. Fully expecting 3-4 of those goals to be unchallenged running through the middle. 1
ally_uk Posted yesterday at 10:06 Posted yesterday at 10:06 Couldn't give a shit..... Can we write this season off?

Osvaldorama Posted yesterday at 11:24 Posted yesterday at 11:24 All I can say is “uh oh” The thought of their midfield up against the open space where our midfield should be fills me with terror
Doctoroncall Posted yesterday at 11:39 Posted yesterday at 11:39 I would expect 2 or 3 fringe players in their line up, then at half time when they will be 4-0 up another 3 fringe players to come to help rest first teamers for their important European match to follow. maybe 6-0 at the end of this training match for them. Sad times.
SNSUN Posted yesterday at 12:35 Posted yesterday at 12:35 Predicted line up: Saints win 3 nil. Survival starts here. 5
Saint_clark Posted yesterday at 12:42 Posted yesterday at 12:42 Anyone found a bookies taking bets on double figures for Liverpool?
ant Posted yesterday at 14:38 Posted yesterday at 14:38 Liverpool won't be bothered much beyond 3-0, given their other fixtures. You'd imagine their brightest & best will be taken off at that point. Do you get an appearance bonus for 5 minutes on the pitch?

We're not beating Derby's points record and at least if we throw the season we'd have at least **something** to hide behind. I cannot see any point to continuing. Just forfeit it. I really would. Liverpool could be 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 fucking scoreline. Just forfeit the entire season.

Imagine thinking this season hasn't already been any of THAT. 1
Nieldy Posted yesterday at 18:09 Posted yesterday at 18:09 At least Nunez will have plenty of shooting practice.Hat-trick on the cards😅
OneMrsWallace Posted yesterday at 18:54 Posted yesterday at 18:54 Liverpool 3-0 up at half time. They take their foot off the gas second half and still win 7-0.
bpsaint Posted yesterday at 19:06 Posted yesterday at 19:06 With the champions league, league cup final around the corner, and a 13 point gap at the top of the table for Liverpool I wouldn’t be surprised to see them make a raft of changes. They’ll still manage an easy 4-0 win even with their reserves.
SaintsBarry74 Posted yesterday at 19:33 Posted yesterday at 19:33 Liverpool's kids vs seasoned Saints veterans. Men against boys, still. 1
